No idea if national or local, but worth looking out in your store for the old-style packaging. Picked up a pack in St Enoch, Glasgow before closing at midnight.

hot price hope i find some too

pretty good I just bought the 240 bags for £2.77 as well

Hopefully it is national, good to see my favourite tea coming down in price in the likes of tesco and asda

old packaging means old amount of tea in the bags not the amount they put in to the new packs and charge higher prices

I am a bit of a caffeine junkie, tea or coffee all day, all night. I'm either drinking one or making one.

I've seen comments on HUKD in recent times about Poundshop-sold branded teabags having lesser amounts of tea in them, but is this something that's common with all teabags nowadays?

If you're not in a hurry and want truly great tea, you can't beat a teapot with loose tea!

Oooh look at that receipt (ex carrots and soup). I'm coming round to yours for the day! X)

( I also normally have a brew going!)

This St Enoch store seems to be getting rid of coffee beans as well - they had Lavazza Espresso coffee beans (bought some last week) and last night got Starbucks Fairtrade Espresso Roast Coffee Beans, 200g, for £1.75 (you can take the Starbucks' empty packet into Starbucks and get a free 354ml tall caffe latte), half price, though.

I do like my sweet things but I am on my 500 calorie day today

Ah, but judging by this picture it looks as though the weight reduction happened even with the old-style packaging! Perhaps it's not as recent a change as we may think. (You can see the old style "blue sky/tea plantation" design):

The old design 160 teabag box I bought, reduced to £1.21, is 464g as opposed to 500g in the older 160 pack PG Tips teabags.
