Poznan is fab! Been twice with a large group friends. Have a look at the City Solei boutique hotel - great location just 5-10 mins walk from the main square and really quirky rooms. Whisky In The Jar does fantastic food and cocktails, and even though it's one of the dearer places to go, it's still mega cheap compared to any UK city centre.

brilliant place to visit! football is interesting and a tram ride out. bars are fantastic and hotels are cheap!

Whisky in the Jar is truly fantabulastic. Great city.

Taxi from the airport to the city centre main Square is 6 quid. A bus is about 1 quid.

went there 3 weeks ago had an amazing time.

Lots of Polish people are leaving the UK after the Brexit result, perhaps some of them will be using this deal.

Depends what brand you're going for. I usually buy one of the most expensive ones, and a full wagon (10 packs of 20) is about £30. If you go for the cheapest ones possible, it will be around £20 for a wagon.

any idea about some nice hotels, wifes picky, without breaking the bank

i just booked 23rd - 28th for same price. total bargain. good find.

The one I suggested above was lovely, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. City Solei Boutique Hotel. Available on expedia and others.
Last year we stayed at the Sheraton which was nice enough but very bland and really expensive to buy food and drink, plus way too far out of town and not in a very nice area.

thanks for that hotel will look it up

As many tips as you can are always appreciated

Just been, brilliant time. Wiejskie Jadlo for good Polish food virtually on the square. Piwna Stopa craft beer pub was great. Stayed at Don Prestige Residence couldn't fault it, upgraded to Superior room £50 night . Loved Brovaria hotel on the square with its own brewery & the goat butting at noon. On Saturdays at 1215 go and listen to the organ playing at the Faro church, amazing sound and a stunning place.

Don't worry. Polish people will leave. No point to stay at sinking ship.

I expect you thought my post was racist, in fact just an observation, there's simply nothing racist in what I said. I also work with a Polish technician, who is a brilliant worker. I have no reason to want them to leave, in fact the NHS is now recruiting and paying for language learning for Polish doctors as they can't get enough doctors to fill positions.
