Photofast adapter can replace pro duo by inserting 2 microsd, add up to 32gb

Wow 32GB of storage on a flashed PSP! Heaven

cheaper than amazon! wow

perfect for my nokia 5800 heat added

I can use this on my psp! The max I can get is 16gb on my PSP, lonfar how is your PSP able to take 32gb, which one do you have??
t3.com/fea…lim

Basically you need to buy 2 microsd and the photofast adapter (http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.16489), format on your psp then you get 32gb. Got yourself a bargain instead of buying the 32gb pro duo £113 ish?

So will the PSP 2000 (slim & lite) work with 32gb??

32 gig would take a while to fill at class 2 speed, think I will buy these though for my psp.

Hi all

I have one of these adapters to MS, and it doesnt work as well it should do. The camera and phone i put it in only recognised one of the slots - the one closest to the contact ont he out side. I may have a defective one but it didnt work.

The 16GB micro SD cards is good, I have one my self, and is cheep

Will give this a go since it's nice price already require one of these for DS

Great just bought one for my HTC Desire

THIS IS CLASS 2.
MEANING IT CAN TRANSFER 2MB/S, IT IS THE SLOWEST SPEED ON THE MARKET SO FOR £3 MORE I'D GO FOR THE CLASS 4. THERE IS ALSO CLASS 6 WHICH IS MORE EXPENSIVE.

Absolutley cracking deal for my PSP

Bought 2 of these babies for just over £39
Already own the Micro SD - Pro Duo Adaptor

A regular 32GB Pro Duo would be near the £100 mark and buying 2 of these and a adaptor on ebay would cost close to £60.

Bargain. Props to OP

I already have a 8gb micro sd using the adapter. Do you know if I can use the double adapter and use both the 8gb & 16gb or do you have to have two same capacity ones?

amazon.com/Pho…92Q
Technical Details

* Supports 2 microSD/microSDHC cards
* 2 microSD(HC) cards of different capacity can be used. Card types can be mixed
* The adapter works with only one microSDHC card as well. The second slot can be equipped anytime
* Super high read/write speeds of 10MB/s and up
* CR-5400 is made of high quality components and preserves the original speed of the inserted microsd

Yeh, at Buy-It-Now price your looking a £3.50 - £6.00 for a legit photofast adaptor.

I have an HTC Desire, is there a notable difference from using a class 6 card compared with a class 2? ie using apps, surfing etc
thanks

Class 2 means it guarantees to provide at list 2Mb/s transfer. I've got one of these in my Tmobile Pulse and using an app from the Android Marketplace I get a reading of 11Mb/s read speed and around 5-6Mb/s write speed ... i.e. the app classifies it as class 4 or 6 depending on what write reading it got on that run. Similarily, copying to it from my PC via USB also seemed to confirm this sort of write speed.

Having said this - these timing figures may be dependent on streaming a long sequence of reads or writes (as happens in the benchmark or copying to the card) and having a mixture may produce a slower result.

Fantastic price. The 16gb cards have long been overpriced in comparison to the smaller capacity ones.
I bought a couple a few months back (for a lot more) - they're great in the kids' DS-TTs - so don't need any at the moment, but heat added

Edit - I find class 2 is perfectly adequate for DS-TT, by the way.

Meaning it can record at a minimum of 2MB/s when recording large continuous files, like video. Also, you sure that's a 16GB MicroSD card you're talking about that's class 4 and only £3 more? I thought 16GB Class2 was as good as it got in the market right now.

I already use an 8gb class 2 in my T Mobile pulse, I dont find the speed a class 2 a problem at all. I think sometime the class is over emphasized.

At the moment no, as everything has to be installed on phone memory. But once the 2.2 upgrade hits and you can install to SD, then maybe !

Does anyone know the read/write speed in megabytes?

The cards in a photofast adaptor can be mixed and matched.
My nephew has been using a combination of 16GB and 8GB for a few months now.

Ideal for storage and I am sure you would'nt notice but......

My concern is with the froyo update as I believe you will be able to record at 720p so I would be worried that this class 2 would not cope but I am only thinking that because my panasonic camera can record 720p and it requies a class 6 card minimum. And yes the Panasonic is SDHC card and not micro but I would'nt have thought there was a difference in that respect.

I could be wrong and stand to be corrected, however this is a good deal and its about time they started coming down in price.

i needed these for my psp thanks OP

i am after a 32gb sd card if anyone knows where to get a good cheap one.

i bought one off ebay £25 and it has now reporting 492kb instead of 32gb and i am going on holiday in septemeber

or do i buy another 2 of these and put them into an adaptor?
thanks

Any idea when The 2.2 will be available

Depends on the phone. Unbranded Desires are rolling out now across Europe area by area. If you've a network branded Desire you're stuck waiting for the network to get round to it. The only UK network I've seen a date for is O2 and that's sometime in Sept. . .

If you're not bothered about blowing the guarantee you can do it now from XDA, but you need to be up to speed on flashing phone firmware? If you're not techy give it a miss, you can brick your phone....

Class 2 is snail pace slow. You wont be able to run any apps from a class 2 card on the HTC Desire, you need Class 4 minimum or class 6 preferably

what are you using it for? If you are trying a customised ROM with applications running from the SD card it wont work very well at all. If you are just using it for files / pictures then it will be ok.

Bought! With a 7dayshop USB adapter for £1.99. Nice find.
