This deal used to be for 250 minutes, but for the same price you now get 500 of the little beauty's!

Considering the sim only tariff for the same mins/texts/data is £10 a month, you're effectively getting the 16GB Moto G for £2.50 x 24 = £60!

Make room on that Moto G bandwagon,.. I'm coming aboard!

Tesco must have just put there prices up/reduced there included mins, texts and data allowance.
Last week the £10 on a 12 month contract got 1000 mins, 5000 texts and 1gb data now that is £12.50 per month on a 12 month contract.

Just received this, bear in mind it is locked to Tesco, so no swapping sims unless you pay £1.60 on fleabay to network unlock it.

Slight annoyance, but cheap to unlock.

I got this last week from tesco on 250 mins. Just rang the cheeky sods up to have a moan & have now been put on this tariff :D. Great phone

Less minutes, but more data here at £11.99 p/m + £40 Quidco.

buymobiles.net/mob…930

£247.76 if the Quidco pays out.

How does this compare to the Nokia 920 which is exactly the same cost plus its 4G compatible.

Can someone confirm my o2 sim will work in a tesco moto-g before I chop it down unlock not a problem just wondered if I could use asap?

I asked in another thread, but are the tesco phones 'branded' in anyway, ie start up??

no branded start up on these phones don't think any of the phones are to be honest

Well, if you unlock the phone for ~£2 then your O2 sim will work in the phone.
My wifes 19 (yes 'nineteen') year old Vodafone SIM works fine in her Moto-G. All I had to do is cut it down with some scissors to 'convert' it to a Micro-SIM.

This looks like a good deal!

this is a really good deal! - don't think there is any other phone that compares in this price bracket.
Take out the cost of the phone (approx £150) and the tariff will be £6.25 per month!

Was going to go for a Galaxy Young or Huawei Y300 for around £10 p/month but this is much better and more minutes for a few quid more.

Also £12.50 cashback on this tariff through Quidco and Topcashback.
Brings it down to exactly £12 per month - Every little helps!

Think I will sign up for it later.

Actually £11.98 per month so even better!

Great phone, crap network but heat added.

If you already own a phone then

Tmobile 12 month sim only with twice as much Data = £7.08 p/m @ mobiles.co.uk (£11pm minus £40 instant cashback and £7.07 topcashback)

LINK

Assuming you can get a similar tmobile deal in year 2 it works out as

£11.98 - £7.08 = £4.90 a month cheaper with sim only

£4.90 x 24 = £117.60 for a phone with just 16GB capacity and no SD card slot

Hmmmmm. Not so hot after all

Must be where you live as I thought the Tesco network was very good here in Liverpool.
I had problems using O2.

Please tell us why you think Tesco Mobile is
a **** network.
My daughter has the Moto G, very similar to
my Nexus 4, a great product.

the phone itself is at least £140... so yeh this deal is pretty good!

Saving of £22.40 on a tarrif that most would bust the data limit in 2 weeks.

Aye, OK

Tesco Mobile uses O2 for their network

O2 is widely renowned for having a terrible 3G network. Their 3G coverage is abysmal, and if you do happen to have 3G signal their data speeds are very inconsistent.
They do however have an excellent 2G network, but 2G is only suitable for calls and texts.

Err, it just is. Tried and tested.

Great deal. They had this tariff when I signed up in December. I've been perfectly happy with the network in the Leeds area. Only problem is that the data seems to speed by even though I mainly use the phone for browsing and navigating. At least the Tesco Mobile app is pretty good at telling you how much you've got left. My best strategy has been to stop using Google Maps and use MapFactor Navigator, which is ok once you get used to it. I also use Opera Mini, with blocked images, when on 3G rather than the standard Chrome browser.

Most would bust the data limit? Surely if your signing up for this tariff you will be aware of your potential data usage, or at least track it using the app?

I use wifi at work and home, so 500mb is easily enough for me!

I *thought* I was a heavy user of data until I moved to an EE tariff a few months ago and usually nail 500MB each month out of my 1.5Gb allowance.

My wife is in the market for a new contract and this might suit her to a tee.

got this deal for my mum after christmas..bargain!

Tesco will also 'fix' the monthly fee so you cannot go over the calls/data allowance - no surprises when the monthly bills come. Perfect for kids...

have to agree, its ok for calls, but 3g is terrible, slow is a massive under statement , as theres no 4g with the fone sort of makes it a deal breaker for me,
so went for s4 from ee 18.99 a moth 1000mins 500mb data free fone, i use wifi at home and work

I'm afraid ageing hippie profile statements and HUKD don't really work together. Just an observation .
