I recently used a colleagues 8gb Flash Drive (same brand) and found it reasonably fast, so thought I'd get one myself and found (and ordered) this.

Nice rubber feel
Quality swivel action
Green Led on Light
Keyring attachable,
Write Speed Up To: 8.5mb/s
Read Speed Up To: 20.5mb/s (135x)

As far as I tell it is different from one previously posted here, with faster read/write speeds (which is what I was after).

nice!

seems good

That picture looks exactly the same as the one i bought from 7dayshop fwiw. Could be different internals of course, but i'm not arguing that

can anyone seriously believe the reported read/write speeds? sound way too optimistic and promising IMHO

good deal, bought 2

nice find, grabbed 2

I got a Sandisk Cruzer 16GB from Play for the same price about a year ago... they're a hell of a lot more expensive now. Strange how they've increased in price..

7dayshop are pretty good quality generally, even their own brand stuff. Check out their "good to go" rechargeable batteries whilst you're there.

Edit: Also, this was posted as a quid cheaper a few weeks ago!

This is probably still the cheapest price for a 16GB usb currently...

As I pointed out in the description, this model has faster read/write speeds.

Still cold dude

I don't get it, Why cold? even if you don't believe the speeds it is still good price for a 16GB

Can you explain why this deal is still cold? As it seems that the majority have voted hot for one reason or another which kind of contradict your statement.

Only ask as I need a couple myself and obviously want to get a fair performance for my money.

Actually, if you read the comments on the other thread, someone tested the cheaper one and read/write speeds we're better than advertised (and they have to be taken with a pinch of salt anyway, hence 'up to' etc etc).
It's pretty obvious it's exactly the same drive... May as well go for the cheaper one.

I say this is cold.its a cheap/value internet site n plus i brought a 8GB leather USB disk 2 yrs ago for £6.and 2 yrs since, should go down in price.

Whilst I agree with your statement that prices should have gone down, the price of oil has gone up. Oil and other chemicals are used in the production of memory therefore prices will fluctuate. Just like cat 5e / 6 network cable prices change again due to the price changes of copper and oil.

In the early 2000's (so under 10yrs) I purchased a 128Mb Q-Drive usb pendrive for a little over £130. Now I can get 16Gb for £15.99, I'd say they've gone down in price!

I firmly believe you get what you pay for with all types of memory.
After years of using A.N.Others USB drives whilst constantly reading why I shouldn't. I finally relented (having always baulked at the price of "proper" memory, particularly ram) and in my case bought 2 8Gb Patriot XT drives at £14.90 each. Either drive manages sustained write speeds of 15-18Mb and read speeds of 30Mb.
I am voting hot as this is alot of virtual real estate for the money.

Just ordered a blue one... Hope it works in the Cyclone MICRO HDMI player!

Sorry, wasn't really paying attention to the r/w speeds. Apart from the more expensive sticks, they tend to be all pretty much the same (probably. I don't go around buying thousands of USB sticks.)

You'll probably never achieve those speeds advertised, especially as its a no-name direct-from-China model, so I wouldn't base a decision upon that.
