ordered thanks op

I bought one yars ago for £6 in a chinese shop in Portugal, not the best quality tools in the world but saved myself and friends a fair bit of cash especially at xmas time adjusting the straps on the new watches

Great, I need to remove 2 links from a watch I got for my son's birthday today, ordered, thanks

wont take visa delta or American express, something about a tx number already been used? will try later.

Sorry Visa Debit.:p

Sorted, wouldnt load the 3D authorisation, waited 5 mins all ok now. Cheers

You could turn this in to a nice little money earner....if you had the TIME!!! He! He! X) But you better WATCH the taxman doesn't get his HANDS on you!!! cause you'll definitely do TIME (another He! He!) X) I'm a sad subject

Handy! Heat added...

That's ordered then ... have some heat!

Get a google checkout account, guys! Never heard of these people and dont want to risk giving them my credit card.

Been doing watch repairs for 20 odd years.... Even although this sells at my suppliers for about £2... This is a good buy....

Unfortunately my watch is in 18 pieces.

then buy in bulk and start selling.... I have never seen this at the whole salers at this price for all 17 items....?

Can#t get it to take Visa Debit card - grrr

was quoted 12 just to change the batter so if i can open the twist on off back and fit a new batter myself this is HOT!

been on ebay for this price i think for ages

does it actually come in a case or are these parts loose once the packaging is opened?

All of the parts are loose - don't know what all the parts are for but I saved £10 at the jewellers to remove a link from my watch so well worth it!
(_;)

anybody could confirm whether the screwdrivers would also be useful/right size for fastening screws on glasses?

I find that the problem isn't so much getting the back off a watch as refitting it. It should just snap back on but resolutely resists doing so. Any tips?

I had one like that, it would not go back on until I found a small plastic recess in the case that lined up with the tiniest bump on the case...

Thanks mosskeeto. The only recess I can see is the one for the spindle which I align but still no go. Beginning to suspect the "O" ring has lost its elasticity and needs replacing but will wait and see if one of the 17 tools is the answer. Great find OP, heat added!

I think I'll be needing this for the family, you usually only get 'free' adjustment to watch straps from the shop you purchased from. One drawback to buying watches online....Hopefully not an issue anymore having purchased this nifty bit of kit; Hope it comes with instructions. Thanks OP.

Update 23/11/2010 - Received mine today (3 days after ordering), and no, the pack does not come with INSTRUCTIONS! Can just about fathom some of the unusual tools out; unusual springed mini wrench, which I used to finish off driving a link pin back in place. What's with the brass thing with two black plastic dibbles? Is it for Casio type watches?

Link for anyone needing a closer look at the tools in this set (i think its the same).
Dont know whether the explanation is good enough, but certainly more helpful than just guessing if you dont know anything about this stuff.

Don't get why this is a 17 piece set, when there are 16 tools.
