Your point is, what exactly? Albert Einstein is dead but we still live by some of the theories and quotes he said.

I could happily listen to The Stone Roses on repeat versus any chart stuff. Decent stuff.

When 'new blood' get as good as these names, maybe you can come back and persuade us. Although I imagine most of us will be long gone before that happens.

For those that appreciate it, vinyl offers better sound quality than CD, which in turn offers better sound quality than your average MP3. Convenience isn't without compromise.
There's some good stuff on that list. Can't see any dead horses but listen to some of these and the thrill will be similar to your 50-1 outsider being a furlong in front at Aintree

Sit down and listen to an MP3 vs vinyl together on a decent hifi system and the answer is obvious. Like most high end products there is a bit of hassle involved to experience things at their best.
Not wanting to be a hypocrite, I very rarely play vinyl these days, but its nice to know I can!
Dadrock ahoy.

Amen
Vinyls give a far superior listening experience than iTunes downloads do. Also, 'new' or 'chart' or 'popular' music completely pales in comparison when put against musical titans such as AC/DC and Led Zeppelin. Disagree? You need a musical education.

On good equipment it will. On budget equipment the cd is probably going to be better.

And don't forget it's Record Store Day on April 16th
Now bring back laserdisc!
Vinyl is superior and the age thing is a load of crap. I love a few artists on that list and collect vinyls as a 19 year old.

I've got over 1000 vinyls collected over 20+ years and a £1500 setup to listen to them on and your statement is balls. Down with all this "real music for real people" crap. Led Zeppelin is boring pub rock. Plenty of better new music about. It's not always in the charts because of the medium you are using to communicate here - the internet. There's loads of it available to everyone so it is more difficult for single artists to acheive a monopoly.

I bet you turn your nose up at people who drink lager and vote UKIP.

So you don't know what the deal is about, but you know it's not a deal..
I have a big vinyl collection as I never got rid of my own records and have loads of 60's albums and singles given to me by family. Much as I love vinyl, I have to say though, it's a huge faff playing records and unless you have a top class set up, I don't think the audio quality is that superior to cd.
I don't really get why this is a deal... yes its good they're selling vinyl's in a supermarket, but they aren't priced very well...

fair enough if your not in the know about vinyl's, but if you are then this is pretty pointless.

If you have a few grand to spend then, yes.
