the key spec not on the box is the max cutting width of 310mm.

i bought one of them earlier today, cuts a tad out of square as supplied but will try adjusting it tomorrow.

I would be interested to know how you get on adjusting this. as I wouldn't mind buying one with this spec, as long as it makes accurate cuts

Want to get one but debating between this or the lidl one. Anyone would recommend any of them?

Hot just cos' it has a Laser!

How does this compare to any of the b&q ones - I've got a £50 voucher for there so wondered if it was worth spending a bit extra....?

But which is better?

This deal was few months ago. I think the current version Lidl selling from 4th Monday has lower specs

I've owned the lidl one (labelled parkside) for a number of years and it has always worked well - I bought the aldi one with a view to replacing it this week due to the increased cutting width.

my views:

the lidl one is far more strongly made - much heavier etc, there is also more play in the slider on the aldi one but it does slide further so maybe this is the cause.

the aldi one was not accurate out of the box - depends what you are intending to use it for but mine was initially at least 0.5mm out of square on a 12" cut.

the laser on the lidl one was just a pain - it was battery operated so runs flat if you forget to turn it off and broke within a few months. On both of them they are not much use as the line they project is narrower than the saw blade - if you like this sort of thing the aldi one is at least mains powered so wont matter if you leave it on.

which one is best ? the lidl one is the better saw no question about that - but it will only cut boards up to about 8 inches wide - I found this a real restriction.

this is the two saws next to each other:

Yes, it is not Double Bevel as decribed at least mine is not double bevel.

Does anyone know if the parkside one is double bevel?

Model number for parkside one is pzks 1500 A1

Lidl one is also single bevel unfortunately.

Aldi saw has trenching facility.
