Increase your pulling/lifting power by 6x

You can never know when you are going to need one and it's use is limited only by your imagination.

Two halves of an extending ladder provide an 'A' frame and coupled with this can make easy work of pulling tree stumps, lifting plants. concrete fence posts Etc.

Many uses around the home.

Or a Must Have for that 'Just In Case' scenario.

180kg max lifting capacity

8m polypropylene lifting cord on zinc-plated steel runners

I could do with one of these to get me out of bed in the morning

I was going to get one of these until I saw it was made by Silverline.. Will probably break the first time you use it. Can't find anything cheaper though, I'll abstain from voting.

bought one just to demonstrate the mechanical principal to my son

Amazon reviews seem good enough.

Silverline tools are a bit of a mixed bag. Some of them are absolute rubbish, I'll agree - but some of them are well engineered and fit for purpose.

As said, the reviews for this item seem very positive.

These are great...bought a couple weeks ago and use them to hang my mountain bike from the ceiling in the garage. They are good quality and work very well. Heat added.

Surely a mountain bike weighs about 12-15kg - do you really need to reduce it's weight to 1/6 of that to lift it?

Good for random acts of torture

I use it as a "baby bouncer" for my pet elephant.

Just calculated.

This will lift 3CWT with a half CWT pull.

I know that is obvious but the rope will apparantly take that as 180KG = 3.5 Cwt.

Quite a bit then.:)

That's 3 bags of cement dangling over 'a peice of candy'. For when you want to get rid of James Woods.

Cheaper than the dentist!

I thought this was about night-clubbing.......Increase your pulling power

Can finally fly

My Mum used to have one on her washing line so that the line went right high up instead of using a prop, I seem to remember my Dad dangling out of the bedroom window to fix it to the wall it was brill so hot! hot! hot!

According to OP:

It will be interesting to see the bodge-up A frames that some may now attempt to erect in this way. Yes, it could be done with careful lashing and anchoring but I would love to see a successful tree stump extraction, for example, by this method - unless it was a sapling.

Looks decent enough.

I bought one for the sake of buying one. Same story with most my purchases! I'm sure I can find a way to have fun with it

Impulse purchase - just ordered.!

I would also like to use this to lift my bike(s) up into the garage roof area.

£6.34?
