As for the product, be vary wary of cheap USB leads. Many are not made to the correct specification and can damage your phone.

Never had a missing parcel from gearbest yet, and I've placed over 50 orders just this year alone, maybe I am lucky. Those included the likes of gimbles and action cams from xiaomi so certainly not on a cheap side, and vice versa, got cables delivered for 8p in the past.

Reading reviews some say 2a others save over 1a drops below 4.5v and someone showed 0.7a on a USB doctor.

I've ordered one but I was thinking of using this to charge with the Teclast X80 Pro I got discounted along with the ZTE Axon charger discounted yesterday. Not too sure but will test this triple decker discounted products together.

That's just the business not product, so far I've had no delivery issues but usually I go for UK priority line. Though for a few lately I've gone free with no insurance but that's the choice risk I've taken.

I've read tons of remarks about items not arriving. I do believe it - but I don't get it! I've ordered five items in three months, four were less than £1, one was an 8p tamagotchi thing, one was the sub £2.50 xiaomi fresh earphones - and they all arrived. Granted, slower than usual Chinese retailers (can't beat the uk express e-packet option offered by fasttech, I've had things arrive after 5 days). Why do some people get their orders but others don't have much luck, is there a black hole somewhere?!!!

Likewise, I've placed about 10 orders with them in the past 3 months, all have arrived in around 1 month. No issues at all so far.

Same here. Never had a single problem with them.

Have also never had a problem with Gearbest. Have ordered many items from them and everything's arrived. Normally comes between 2 and 4 weeks.

ordered for same price £0.79

I've never had any issues with gearbest also..... That being said however, I'm a bit iffy about ordering from China so close to Christmas... UK post alone is a shet-show, international postage will be a nightmare.. heat anyway!

I have no reson to criticise GearBest, and I have bought a lot of stuff from them. Some cheap as chips, others cheap as a fish supper. I have only ever had an issue with one order, and it was refunded no problem and I was told not to return the item.

Why's that then?

Dunno why the hell are people complaining...
Ordered around 20-30 items off of Gearbest this year alone and everything turned up, some things slower for times like holiday seasons or whatever not, but they usually come within the delivery date they claim it would.

Well bully for those of you who have had no problems, but obviously a lot of us have....

With people talking about amp/voltage issues, would these be fine for just connecting PS4 controllers to a Raspberry Pi? Guessing they would be fine for just data? Would there be any risk to my Pi or controllers?

I did use paypal, I didn't assume that if I told them at the end of November that something hadn't arrived by 22nd October I'd have to tell them;-
the order number, which was already on the Support Ticket,
my address, which was already on the Support Ticket & the Order,
The item number, which was on the Support Ticket, the Order and their email asking me for the item number.....
Had it past the Due Date, which was already on the Support Ticket, the Order, their email asking me the date,, and was 3 weeks previous...

It was only when I replied to the third email repeating this rubbish saying simply "Immediate refund or Paypal case" that they paid up and shut up....

This is not how to do business....

Oh... usually paypal are straightforward when deals with these type of things...

Problem is these long cables take an age to charge and transfer data from past experience.

He meant he paid with paypal but he went on opening the ticket on Gearbest.

That's what he did wrong.escalate the claim to paypal if I don't get the response I think is good enough from Gearbest Support.

I ordered two of the drones a few weeks ago from gearbest. All seemed great until dhl rang 2 weeks after my purchase saying i owed customs charges of about 4 quid, I paid that same night online, then customs rang me and would not release the parcel until i forwarded proof of value emails to them because the sender is well known to them for fraudulently saying items are of much less value to avoid costs.

All in i spent $45 usd for two drones that are smaller than the size of my palm and i have really small hands too, never mind the fact that to charge it you have to unplug and re-plug in a very flimsy plastic plug that's on the main board so will no doubt break off after a few times of use.

Wish i had bought from amazon instead. Overall i would of gotten a bigger item, better build quality, less cost and would of gotten it in a few days vs few weeks. Bear in mind i paid for the $16 dollar handling fees too!!

That's just my history with this shop through that 1 and only purchase though, Doubt I'll be going back there.

Nothing to do with how expensive the item is. I once ordered an item discounted to £0.08 with free delivery from Gearbest and it arrived promptly.
