Suspect it's fake.
Definitely not a genuine battery
Both real and fake 6Ah batteries are twice the size of the picture, and the price is nothing special compared to say eBay,
maybe saving £2?

Is fake...
TO be fair to the seller, they aren't branding the battery 'makita'. But I doubt they at 6Ah
Buy cheap... Buy twice!

you clearly have no idea what you're on about, this is the normal size of a makita battery, anything bigger is an aftermarket copy, these are not "fake" they are non o.e.m. batteries and they are often advertised as "for makita".
I have 4 of these but they are the bigger 4.5ah battery, one actually died on me last week but cant complain as it was £25 and over 2 years old, why buy genuine makita for 3x the price.

Same here. Although the genuine Makita battery has a fundamental design flaw it is still miles better than non-genuine ones.
I had no idea we're up to 6ah already?!

Chill dude, so I made a mistake over the picture, no need for drama. the normal size just means you are taking the chance that the batteries are the same capacity, other sellers use more of them.
do you think these are ok with makita? In this context non oem means fake.
they will probably be fine though, I have several fake makita batteries

In my experience these 'fake' LXT batteries don't last, tried them once and never lasted, cheap but pointless when you have to replace them more often IMO.
Do NOT post fake gear on here please, just a waste of eyeball time, this is not a deal, cheap imitation is just junk cold and stupid post.
Only non genuine Makita batteries worth considering are Lenoge. Sold on Amazon. Not cheap, but come with manufacturers 18 month no quibble warranty. Had 4 for over a year. Used 6 days a week, as good now as day one.
