Feck all wrong with Aldi items. Warranty a bonus. Seems a good deal for the two items.

Is there a charger with these?

Never has this brand, but last week I got a Ryobi impact driver and a hammer drill, both 18v for £110. For an extra £10 I'd rather have a Ryobi. B&Q still have the Ryobi 18v hammer drill for £50. The impact driver was a store specific offer.

Ryobi??

They make some of the worst junk on the market and have appalling customer service. They look good, I'll give you that, but so does fools gold

the hammer drill didn't have a bag but it does have the charger and one battery, the impact driver was a damaged box return manager special so doubt if it's likely to be repeated.

I've been using Ryobi stuff for about the last 5 years, never had a problem with any of their kit.

Seems expensive for an own brand set. Reckon that better deals are available elsewhere for more recognised and well reviewed products

Yes i purchased a Bosch 18V li-ion hammer drill / driver with spare battery for £70 a few month back. Personally i'd keep an eye out at B&Q and screwfix they often have deals that change week by week. Or if you want this then i'd wait while they reduce it in a week or two because this price seems inflated for own brand kit.

Bosch is no longer what it used to be, their green line ( and unfortunately some of the cheaper blue line as well ) became disposable - the parts are either unavailable or so expensive that the repair is pointless. And the quality is not far off Aldi .
I saw a blue Bosch angle grinder on Screwfix sale a while ago, it looked good in the leaflet but quality of finish was very bad, ended up with Hitachi, looks hideous but better made and cheaper.

Tbh some other manufacturers do exactly the same, the Makita stuff you are getting from B&Q have not much in common with trade products.

Yes and i paid £70 for a Bosch drill/driver and this is almost £100 for a lower quality own brand product. I have tried a mates Aldi drill in the past and was not impressed at all. All i was pointing out was that this is expensive and that better offers are availiable. I'm sure one of the DIY stores have a makita drill driver for around £70 on offer this friday.

You are talking rubbish i am afraid. This is about product quality not 'brand quality'. You have never seen the drill and have no specialist knowledge. The mentioned makita from b&q has nothing to do with the quality trade product, different batteries, plastic gearing and for different market. Did you you get impact driver thrown into your £70 bosch 'deal' as well ?

Makita 18V Lithium-ion 2 Battery Combi Drill in store at B&Q - Black Friday deal. Usually £102 so a great deal, especially as it comes with 2 batteries and a carry case.

Well I brought one this morning and I am glad I did... I've only tried the impact driver so far but it quite happily (out of the box) put a 4" screw into construction timber with no pre drilling. I'm so sad I even videod lol

Salzburg is in Austria and Walter Werkzeuge means Walter Work Tools - bit like Wally's Work Tools ! But I am Gas Safe Registered work man and have many Aldi tools in my bag. Not many jobs demand the Makita quality of which all manufacturer's fall short.

Hi could anybody tell me if you can spear batters for these plz

Bought a Parkside 18v Cordless Hammer Drill at end of Feb from Lidl. Lovely piece of work, but can't get battery charger to charge up battery. They sent a replacement charger from Germany and its doing same. Anyone know anything about it? Goes red to green to red to green and stays on green as if charged - all within 10 seconds.

I have this kit from Aldi and I have used both the drill and the driver for some rigorous jobs. They have not missed a beat. They are incredible. The batteries are powerful and hold their charge well. All the negative comments are probably from people who have not even tried them let alone own them. If you want a reliable, powerful and trustworthy tool, then buy these. German engineering at its best I would say!

Why expired?

Yeah I completely agree... The impact driver especially was brilliant... Oh well all the brand snobs missed out

Any 1 found extra battery's yet

looks like this one, the gmc and the lidl one are all the same model

Back on sale again.... https://www.aldi.co.uk/en/specialbuys/thur-26-nov/product-detail/ps/p/18v-li-ion-drill-and-driver-kit/

I think this is a great little pack and a good price, the power driver especially is excellent.

well worth the money and the batteries have the same connections and charger as a Bosch. you can feel its got some quality, you get what you pay for and ill guarantee they'll earn their money back before they die

Just bought these for £69.99 at Aldi, get yourselves down there boys.
