£19 rooms in Wadebridge, Cornwall between May and November @ Travelodge

Found 8th Mar 2012
Cornwall is usually quite a pricey place to book on Travelodge (by their standards), but there's currently a lot of £19 rooms between May and Nov in Wadebridge - some of them being a Sunday right through to the Friday, which is rare for even unpopular locations!
It's a little bit out from the beach (i.e. none within walking distance) so I highly recommend a sat nav to get around, but still a lovely location with a pub called The Falcon right next door and Padstow harbour not far away at all (4 miles or so).

Why the cold votes?

Because some people on here are complete muppets.

Great deal and good reviews BTW! HOT

looks good to me, but expect the usual negative travelodge comments: no wardrobes, plastic cups in bathroom, window only opens 3 inches, and tv not a 42" plasma. If you want a cheap base and are not a snob then book it...

Yep... the hotel is only a year old and when it was posted last year it got quite a lot of heat. Oh well!

Hot good find. Travelodge WYSIWYG

Cant fault travelodge cheap and cheerful normally too pickled to worry about the niceties!!

Good deal OP Anyone have an idea of when there next £10 or £15 sale will be?

Great location - pub next door & morrisons wi cafe on same estate. 15 mins from where we stay in New Polzeath - awesome beach! Heat OP

booked! Close to all my favourite beaches!

I still find it funny that they have bottle openers attached to the wall above the bin, how many people go around with bottles?!

Travelodges aren't exactly luxury spas but great if you're heading somewhere for a couple of nights and just want somewhere cheap to lay your head down.

I've always assumed that it's because people open the bottles on the edge of the tables and chip them. But yeah, it does look odd

Even dates such as 15 to 22nd July are still available at £19 for a family room - wow, great find especially being as Newquay is only about 14miles away.

Wrong.

There is not a Morrisons in Wadebridge. There is a Tesco's over the road but it doesn't have a cafe......

Only built last year so should be in good nick too!

Fantstic might just get the ferry across and book a cheap long week end! Always wanted to check out Cornwall, besides surfing is there much else on offer down there?

This deserves to go smoking hot!

I live local, both the pub and travelodge are v. good, good deal for those out there!

Thanks OP booked 4 nights!

Fantastic deal! Travelodge are excellent.

i might get a bus over there, only down road from me

My family and I stayed here for a week last summer during the £19 a night sale. Travelodge was brilliant condition, rooms are standard just the same as all the other newish travelodges I have stayed in. Cant remember the name of the local beach, you drove down and parked onto it, but that beach wasn't the cleanest, there was lots of foam in the water, which I am guessing was from sewage. But all the other fantastic cornish beeches are not too far away, tended to go to St Ives as this is one of our favorite cornish towns and much cheaper to stay in Wadebridge and drive then pay the extra to stay closer. The local tesco is well stocked and has everything you need for breakfast / packed lunches, and the pub served up perfectly edible food and had a nice atmosphere. The pub is a two for one, so part of the national chain. If you have stayed in a travelodge before, then you know what to expect, and this one won't let you down. grab the rooms while you can.

Cheers

Hot! Booked for mid July, thanks OP!

Booked 2 adults and 2 kids for £115.50 including cancellation insurance for 6 nights in mid July. Brilliant deal thanks mamboboy

I was dying to get to this newish travelodge and booked Bodmin Roche instead for the sake of economy for 4 April nights. Many thanksssss to the poster for this bargain. I booked 4 nights for July. Hopefully the weather will be better than April!

last year April was great in this country - we went to Cornwall in Sept and it p***ed it down all week, awful holiday! This deal is very tempting - may go for April!

seems to have gone oh well pasties will have to wait

cant seem to find many £19 rooms from April to September, have they all gone?:(

Had my dates in the box went for my card & the burgers have gone! well naffed off

Don't go to the Eden project - It'll be so busy you can hardly move and £23 per adult is more than a night at the travel lodge. I'd recomend The Lost Gardens of Heligan just down the road. http://www.heligan.com/

Wadebridge is quite a small town but some nice little shops and resturants. Polzeath (Where top gear filmed their home made camper van special) is probably the closest beach and a nice one at that with pubs, resturants etc nearby.

This travel lodge is in an ideal location and the pub next door is top notch. HOT!!

Why are all Thursdays in June £400

expired?

looks like this one is finished now

malcolm barnecutts pasties in town a re lovely... last time i had 30 sent for a birthday present.... check them out.... seems like a good deal to me,..

Something fishy about this... £400 for Sunday night in June whic is not half term... er no thanks.

Good luck to those who got in quick enough for £19 rooms, make sure you check in as early as humanly possible so they don't sell your room again... for a standard rate. They won't even apologise in my experience.

All gone except for the odd single day. Pi**ed off!

Yep, only one £19 room left for April 2nd by the looks of it.

It's gonna be a busy few months for the Wadebridge staff by the looks of it X)

They tend to put the prices up when there's big events in the area, or, I assume when there's one room left so they try to rip people off for it. Not sure who in their right minds would pay that sort of money though! A 5* hotel is probably cheaper than that.
