Yep, always one deal on there worth posting!

I went to Borovets in 2008. Stayed in the Hotel Lion which was very nice. The snow was very sparse that year and the equipment that we hired through the travel agent was awful. The people were very friendly and made us very welcome.

I worked on bulgaria for a season. the equipment is sadly like that almost everywhere. hire from the rossignol shop BELOW |the ELA hotel. they have the BEST stuff, rather than second hand hand offs in rila dn samokov :P Havent stayed in the Mura, and so cant comment, BUT food is cheap and good elsewhere, so stay cheap and shop around when there Definately go to Franco's pizza and bar, Yasin will look afteryou

Bargain - I'm flying out to Bansko tomorrow and have paid more than this for the £150 for the weekend. Borovets has just had a good load of snow aswell.

I looked at this too. The Upgrade hotel Hotel Samokov has very variable reviews on TripAdvisor

tripadvisor.co.uk/Hot…tml

and the Mura Hotel has only a couple of reviews (2 very old) here

holidays-uncovered.co.uk/bul…tml

which are variable. I know it's only £199 so I guess you can't expect too much though.

thats damn good for 3 nights if it includes food / flights / transfers! I expect a 3 day lift pass is relatively cheap too

Humm never thought of Bulgaria as a Ski Destination, im used to going to France or Austria, how will the skiing compare?

no comparison if you are any good but damn cheap for nightlife, passes etc

Na its just

Flight £80
Accomodation £40
Transfer £30

Food not included, the lift pass is £60 for the 3 days (Friday - Sunday) when we get there. Come back Monday!!

Bulgaria is not as good as the traditional resorts in Europe but if you want a cheepie then you cant beat it. Beer is as cheap as 75p in some places in the town, mountain it can be up to £3 but thats alot cheaper than France, Austria etc.

Im not a pro more of a intermidiate.Thought it might not be as good skiing but definatly an option i might consider with a few of the lads for a laugh next year, its a chance to ski without spending at least £600 on holiday + probably at least £600 while you out there (what i spent in Austria in Jan).
