Been tempted by this due to the 5£ code on the page and also due to the reviews.

Hoping it will improve the number of channels I get - never had great signal since the digital switch over.

Anyone else using this?

You could start with the 284 people who reviewed it on Amazon

Apologies to the OP. The price and discount is available in the sidebar if you use "1Byone" rather than Amazon direct.

That antenna would not be very good in my room because the 'sweet spot' to get the best reception would be to stick it high against the ceiling. I've tried this antenna which was rubbish amazon.co.uk/Dig…nna
This antenna is very good i get quite a clear picture amazon.co.uk/dp/…c=1 get the amplified version for £11.99 i paid £13.99 for mine so its £2 cheaper!!

Ah, seems to work for me now.
BTW the reviews are decent.

Not very consistent for me.

For a couple of quid more you could buy a proper antenna and stick it on the roof. If you are in a poor reception area then you need a bigger antenna, not an electrical box of tricks!

Agree with ProveRight. Ive tried other plugin electrical boxes but all have been poor. Best advice is to get a normal aerial and stick it in the loft or on top pf a cupboard if you arnt allowed to have an external one for whatever reason

Agree with both of the above. The amplification is a gimmick. It's only useful at a remote aerial (such as on the roof) to overcome signal loss/interference pick up in the cable.

Disagree, makes a whole bunch of difference on all amplified antennas I tried.

Probably because when the amplifier is not operating it's attenuating, i.e. worse than useless. Or you've got a broken TV.

Or you might be wrong, but you seem to dismiss that posibility all together.

Broken tv? What about extensive testing on multiple tv's and stereo's? Asuuming much? Where did I mention a tv? These work for radio as well, be it digital or analogue. And yes, analogue radio is not dead.

And assuming again the amplifier was connected... No, when testing without amplification, amplifier was completely disconnected (physically).

Now let the grown ups have a decent conversation

Strange that the overall reviews are opposite. What was the problem with the first one?

I didn't assume things, tested on multiple devices and disconnected amplification physically.
Very mature to post results.
You made all sorts of assumptions and posted no facts, just personal opinions.

And how does anyone know you didn't simply make up all your claims?

Works great in bedroom on top of wardrobe. If you can't cite near a window it won't work. Very cheap easy quick way to add freeview to a room if you can locate near a window and have decent reception.
