Thanks, would it be safe to use a molex to pci-e connector on this card? As my power supply came with 1 pci-e and 1 molex to pci-e adapater, its a basic 550w power supply.

Heat added, any1 know what PSU is needed to run this?

Yes using the adapter will be fine. As for the power supply as a generic I would want 28amps on the 12v+ line(s) as a minimum presuming your not using an overclocked CPU.

Great find!

Scorching hot deal.

Yep, as a bonus you can fry eggs on it, nVidia's Fermi cards are so power inefficient you will need to add some ice cubes to your rig to prevent your computer from burning up from the heat production.

Sorry, this does not apply to this card. 470+ models run hot, this one is pretty cool and quiet.

Great deal, but it's only 2 year warranty. I have a doubt this one will run for 24/7 for 2 years.
How's Gigabyte video card quality, is it on par with EVGA?

I have a few dead motherboards from them. Died somewhere after 3 years.

errr how many computers do people leave running 24/7 with a card like this in???

Nice price, nice card, nice performance - nice?

It will downclock and undervolt itself when not gaming. Just sitting on the Desktop, it'll run at something like 51MHz on the core. Mine idles at 30C. So just stop nitpicking.

WOW! Really cheap and got great reviews when it cam out-although a bit long in the tooth now isn't it ?

Hot! Literally!

Well a few might when new games come out for a few days. The only other situation I can think of is if people use it for CUDA applications or folding.

TBH for standard range products I'm not sure there is all that much between the manufactures these days. I try to avoid XFX products as they skimp a little to much, but then they tend to be the cheapest and savings have to be made somewhere.

I so badly want to buy this, but I spent all my money on a holiday!
I guess I will be gaming with my 8800GT for the next couple of month, have to wait till xmas. This card is seriously fast and cost effective.
CUDA is great, especially if you are encoding videos.

That price must have been a mistake.

It is now >£150.

£151 now

Yea I'm seeing £151.99 inc vat?!

expired in my basket

Phoned. Yep, misprice, they said none of the orders have been honoured at the lower price. Ah well

I think you're thinking of the GTX 470 and 480. The 460 runs runs pretty cool and quiet, although not as cool and quiet as an ATI 6850.

Why did you feel the need to phone? You've just managed to attract scan attention to the misprice.

I've been told any orders that went through will be honoured.
