why are there no deals on DDR ram?

why are there no deals on DDR ram?

There is low supply and low demand so there's no pressure to move the price.
With DDR2 there is a large over supply and the demand isn't strong.

It's a better deal if you buy two as the postage on the second one is only 49p. So 2 x 1GB = £38.46.

Very hot for anyone unable to use Google Checkout, like me. Thanks Ego

Why can't you use it?

Isn't gmail free signup these days?

Thats an extremely good price considering there is no google checkout.

Shucks, I forgot again.

In case anyone reading this thread gets the wrong impression, you don’t need a Gmail account to use Google Checkout. This is from personal experience.

And even if you are curious of creating a GMail account you can do so for free @ mail.google.com/mai…nup

They dont accept visa electron

OT, but alternatively, you could go to Currys and buy 512MB DDR for an amazing £34.99.

I literally laughed, really.

:giggle: (£34.99 for 512mb DDR RAM)

And to think I paid £11 on ebay last year for better memory from Kingston

Great find, I bought a stick of this off e-buyer a couple of weeks ago for about £23 delivered using google checkout, was going to buy another but they had bumped the price up £6.
Thanks to o.p

Yes, they do...I bought the Tangent DVD Recorder from ebuyer that was on here a few weeks ago and used Google Checkout. I only have an electron card! I remember it did say 'unrecognised card' next to where you enter the card number, but it authorised it anyway.

Has anyone ever bought from DVD.co.uk before? I'd snap it up right now but i'm worried if it comes faulty or damaged, and if i'd have issues sending it back. It's such a good deal though :]

Bug gger, just paid £23-50 for 1Gig from Crucial.....

With RAM prices this cheap it's ridiculous for any new computer not to come with 2gb now.

I've bought from them before with no problems. Items come well packaged as well. I've jsut bought one of these sticks and have no concerns about it coming damaged. You also have the opportunity to return any item from them for a full refund. I accidentally bought the wrong memory from them a couple of weeks back, sent it back and got a refund. There are loads of deals that come up with this company on this site, so i wouldnt worry about using them!
