good spot. thanks

british apples or packed in Britain? If your apples are from Kazakhstan but packed in UK they are 100% British like your beef from Poland @ Sainsburys lately... haha.

Says on pack "Traditionally Home Grown British Apples"

Apparently Lidl don't sell 1kg packs...........

You must have the same vivid imagination as I have :-)

I had some Fruit & Vegetable clown contradict me on a thread recently as it appears they don't sell any packs that size, just 750g ones. I am so reassured to see others are having the same fruit hallucinations.:whistling:

They were very nice at the time: It must be the extra 250g makes them taste all the better - as does the 5p per kg less than they were at that time! :-)

Let me check... http://i41.tinypic.com/2nbhp3o.jpg... Says 1.04kg on my faithful scale

If the product mentions British in the name, they must originate from Britain - it's the Law.

No it doesn't - it means that non-UK products are less affordable, increasing the demand for UK products and therefore driving the price up.

Yeah? Well, last time I checked a car isn't a food type.:whistling:

This deal is very hot indeed! And it deserves to get voted hot because the original poster even got out the scales to weigh the apples! Love it...

Good old UK eh.. 90% of ********s who claim not to work in our fields get to stay here...

Great Deal , thanks, hot

What I was getting at is that they can call a MG a "British" car even though it's made in China..

Anyway, there is a bloke in France called Monsieur Mangetout ("Mr Eat-it-all") who is listed in the Guinness Book of Records for eating a whole Cessna plane so I image a car wouldn't pose any problems..

It wasn't me that was denying it... I was the one who had bought them previously!
I only wish they would have them more often!
