Got the leaflet through the door. Will post picture tomorrow. Don't see it on the LIDL website yet or here. First post so please be nice.

1 kg of organic whole bean medium roast coffee. I usually buy at asda or Amazon for 3.28 - 3.49 for 227g though they are fair trade. For a 3rd of the price I can life without it being fair trade.

Great deal, please post a scan as I am interested to see more about it. I am about to go buy 6-8 of the 1kg Lavazza at Costco for £6.99ea but might get some of these too for the cupboard.

so that's the price of your conscience?

At least it's organic. And this is a money saving site last time I checked.

When are these on sale from?

It's actually £5.99 at Costco. I would imagine the Lavazza is better quality - but you never know...

Organic at a damn good price. Hot from me.

will 1kg last once its open though?

I buy the 227g bags of whole bean's from supermarkets that last me about a week, but the packet says keep refrigerated and consume within 7 days.

The organic label in coffee is no big deal - all it means is that they control rust and other fungal diseases with multiple applications of copper salts - which is a complete biocide and builds up in the soil - killing everything else. Don't be conned!

Depends how fast you use it. You could decant the 1kg bag in to tubs equivalent to 250g and pop them in the freezer. When you defrost them the tub keep it sealed so the beans don't get damp with condensation.

I'm about to separate a 1kg bag of Lavazza and agree freezing is the way to go. I find it stupid most coffee's *including the Lavazza beans* say to store in a fridge when from what I've read the fridge is the worst place to store coffee. I'm going to vacuum pack my bags and freeze. I will vote hot on this deal for the price but know nothing of the quality. Any Fellow Costco members know if any of the Kirkland beans are any good?

When is this in store?

When is this deal on please?

Is this region specific? - not on website or offer sheets for 30.1.2014

I can confirm it's in stock in Gloucester, haven't tried it yet but it smells great.

to right, can also mean that more product is wasted. Pest and disease has to be killed somehow. And there are nasty organic methods.
Organic method are not healthy. Sulphur, nicotine and asbestos are organic.

went to lidl today. they said the promotion was on weeks ago. Wasted my time and fuel for this

They only had one in stock at my local on Friday. At first we thought they were out but we found one that had fallen over on the shelf.
