1kg Rump steak for as little as £5 from the fresh meat counter @ Tesco

Just visited Tesco Bedworth and was walking past the meat counter when saw rump steak was half price at £7 per kilo. Advertised on the counter though was another offer saying if you spend £7 you can have £2 off.

Can't promise it's national and I wouldn't make a special trip for it, but if you're in Tesco then take a look.

If this was at Morissons then it would be scorching hot, but tescos beef is usually tough as old boots.
Morrisons beef is the best, but have had some great meat from the butchers at tesco, but their prepacked stuff is gross unless you buy the finest stuff.

Morrisons rump just falls apart like sirloin

Fair point - think it's luck of the draw though; mine melted in my mouth when I ate it a while ago.

Sounds like you bought butter not beef. Thats probably why it was so cheap (_;)
Can see counter rump online at £8/kg
Yes the two pound off a 7 pound meat counter spend coupon is in the offers booklet that u get instore
Tescos pre-packed beef has so much liquid injected into it that for the first 5 minutes until it evaporates, I basically parboil the meat first. Wish the government would step in and force supermarkets to say how much liquid was added after it was butchered.

Tescos would be a whole lot less reluctant to do it if they had to put "80% beef, 20% unidentifiable liquid"
