Great bargain..Just ordered 2. I love this site as I hate paying "rip off" prices. Good find!!

great for a spare thanks

nice one thanks

Thanks, finally going to upgrade my ps3 hmdi lead from 1.3 to 1.4. Looking forward to seeing the significant improvement

Thanks OP

Absolute rubbish, bought from same seller last week, no LAN signals pass through this so called Ethernet HDMI.
Warning: seller don't reply, have to call Amazon for refund

Was going to ask if anyone had used these for Ethernet , looks like they have and it doesn't lol

even though I dont need it its tempting...

Even as HDMI the quality is not good

THX op. will try out on my sky HD box and see how much better it is on the 1080p heat added

CEC to, sounds good, ordered and heat.

"NOW UPGRADED TO PURE COPPER" - hahaha

£1.95 for me. Bought one though as I gave my spare away.

Got a 3m 1.4 from these guys and it was a bit flakey on my ps3 and projector - kept on losing signal or sound when a game booted. Contacted them for a refund on Amazon, and they sent a replacement immediately, which works fine.

So are these cables worth buying or not?

£1.98 on the link now

I bought from 3 or 4 other deals in here 2m 1.4 cables for £1, so can't make this hot.

That's ok ... they were 95 pence but have now gone up to £1.98... still not a bad price but not as good as they were..

I ordered three before I noticed the 2 per customer bit. To be fair they have refunded the other one and sent the two that have been paid for

Am I the only one that realises that all HDMI cables are the exact same, and that "better signal and less deterioration" means nothing with digital cabling, especially at that length?

No you aren't .. i'm sure most of us take whats said with a pinch of salt ... signal quality may not be an issue but build quality is with some of the really cheap cables.

not quite correct.
a cheap cable will have little shielding between individual channels which leads to bleeding of colours etc. The more expensive cables have better shielding which leads to less degradation of picture; less shielding= less materials + less manufacturing time which is why they are cheaper.

you are correct though if referring to any cable under 3m .. less length for degradation so a £2 cable will preform similar to a £70 , but over 3m you need to be careful.

HDMI is a digital signal with differential signalling. You won't get bleeding of colours.

You can however get a loss of data wihich can cause picture and sound breakup.

Better cables generally have a better coating on the connectors (and better connectors) which will allow more insertions before you start getting bad connections. They can also use a better grade of conductor - every little helps with high speed data.

Got mine today, for 95p, quality of the cable is fine. Doesn't beat the £1.50 7.5M cable I bought from here ;-)

got mine delivered today and am sure has made my quality better on my sky box hd and hdtv . although had the same style for my xbox i wasnt surprised.very happy. and for the grand sum of 95p

MIne arrived, this is the cheapest cable that I have got where the CEC actually works.

That is true, excluding other variables such as the length of the cable. Like I said in the previous comment, not all cheap HDMI cables work with CEC try some cheap ones from ebay with CEC and see if they work. Some of the cheap ones are missing the CEC pin on the cable to reduce manufacturing costs.
