Awesome find OP Just ordered 100, hopefully that's £100 to the Helping Haiti Fund and the Disasters Emergency committee.

Wouldn`t that be about minus £3 ?

Bought 100, thanks a lot.. I can actually feel good about myself now.

Too lazy to walk to the shop and get them though. £4.50 for 100 is still bloody good!

Your word isn`t exactly reassurance m8!

I always wonder what happens with the promised donations in these cases. Surely there must be a clause somewhere to protect the traders?

i think its only £1 for every sale until a certain date.

ive seen B&Q do it with cancer research and plants

said 50p or similar will go to cancer research from the sale of this plant
(small print read between a dated 4 week period)
te problem was they was still selling and advertising the cancer support 4 weeks after the end of promotion date.

Nothing will get donated as the donation comes from the profit, pointless when they are selling at 1p!

exactly oO

doesnt say anything about £1 going to charity so they wont honour it.

Great minds eh?

Its about time the people of Haiti see some money to resore their lives. Seems a shame they have had to wait so long before the world actually listened.

The clause is "all profits made from the sale of this single go to the Helping Haiti Fund and the Disasters Emergency committee."

The key word here being "profits".

Check out dec.org.uk/don…ow/ - "The DEC Haiti Earthquake Appeal has now closed. "

I think if you want to donate to Haiti, you can use this link - donate.pih.org/pag…iti or just google for your preferred charity.

eh, the UK gave £20,000,000 a year ago. Haiti donations exceed $644 million, as of February 3

I'm pretty sure it's true, as on the Amazon site it states that a minimum of £1 goes to charity and then all profits as well. They wouldn't have mentioned £1 if that wasn't the minimum amount that the companies selling the CD agreed to

they will hardly make a profit..i was going to but 500 and give them back...but I cant see that the will make any money on it...

OP i think its your job to call them and find out whats going on...as we dont want them to actually loose money as the hot deals crew swarm all over it!

but thats amazon making a £1 donation, not M&S.

Can't believe the people on here thinking M&S will be giving a quid to charity on a 1p sale! FFS!

Why on earth would the record company allow a charity single to be sold for only 1p with nothing going to charity??

Looks like it's out of stock...

Thats not the point. I reckon M&S will have paid something like £1.50 for each of these of which £1 would have gone to charity, 50p production costs and any extra would be M&S profit

The charity money has ALREADY been donated so buying the CDs in bulk wont affect that one iota.

I've just got an email mine are on there way to store.

I have had a email saying its been canceled, had previous emails saying it on it way to store, then a email saying its been damaged or lost.

Cancelled my order, seems dodgy..hadn't dispatched it anyway. Doesn't look like I'll be raising any money for charity so I would have been wasting £5.

Just collected 496 from my local M&S store - well, it was meant to be 500 but they lost four of them!
