9 square meter rooms?!

actually,I would be quite happy to try it for a coupla nights just to see what its like and do a coupla west end shows but cant find any dates at 1p.

No mention on 1p rooms on the web site, that i could find.

anyone that boasts the ryanair of hotels, i'll pass.

Additional cost for towels, cleaning and perhaps even going to the loo.

Not good, imo.

£1.50 for them to supply a towel, £2 to use there hairdryer, £3 to use the in room TV. All the extra costs soon add up and make it not such a good deal, unless you manage to find the 1p a night offer.

Where did you get the info from OP? I have got rooms from previous 1p promos from Tune Hotels but they have always run on a Tuesday (Tuneday) and have had emails promoting them. There is nothing on the website to mention these 1p rooms you talk about.

I didn't really see much to argue with for 1p per night. I only need a bed, shower and toilet. Being a new hotel I would think it will be in better condition thatn a lot of budget hotels in Londong and probably some of the non-budget ones too.

Plus the inevitable 'RyanAir' type slanging.... The rooms are clean on your arrival and every 3 days. If you want them cleaned more than that you pay. NO charge for the toilet. Yawn. Towels are charged for - they are £1 in my local £1 shop... I can afford to take one and leave it if I wanted.

Checked one date and best it came up with was :

Special needs room (without window ) £65 a night.

The lack of window is to stop you throwing yourself out of it after noticing the horrible stains around the toilet and in the bed that you have been conned in to paying for. ewww!

Has anyone ever actually stayed in any of these hotels? The one in London seems to be the first in the UK and doesn't open until 30th August.

The 1,000 rooms at a penny each will be released for sale on 'Tunedays' … The 1,000 rooms at a penny each will be released for sale on 'Tunedays' throughout June and July via www.tunehotels.comThe regular prices for a room at the new hotel will start from £35.

I think it's safe to expire!

Yup 1p sales ended weeks ago.

£9 rooms have been on sale for a few days now, you would be lucky to find any left!

Or unlucky if you believe some of the reviews !

The Tune Hotel Westminster does not officially until the 30th August......unless you mean the Far East reviews? If you are expecting the Ritz for a penny then you will be disappointed. Some people turn their noses up at Travelodge who I think are OK. I rather have my own private en suite rom than some dodgy hostel room. I am sure the rooms are tiny but I am short anyway
