GearBest insurance is a complete scam, totally unnecessary, and their own way to rinse a few extra percent off you for doing precisely nothing.

The rule of thumb is to ALWAYS pay by Paypal. GearBest have a nasty habit of:

1. Refusing to honour any warranty claims (in some cases, they demand the item is returned back to China before they even consider a claim - this usually costing far more than the item, and ensuring you give up), and
2. Offering you a pathetic 50% refund if you never receive the item in the first place (i.e. THEY have lost it in transit)

If either of these situations occur, just threaten them with a Paypal dispute and they always immediately back down as they know they are taking the pí.ss and Paypal will decide in your favour.

Errr? So it's a silver pen for 46p...okay. Is it one 007 would use in an emergency or something?

Cheapo stocking filler. Heat added. Cheers OP.

Good spot as it wasn't that easy to find on the Gearbest web site! Only found it by using the link. Another thing I don't really need but too cheap to miss. Eventually found out were the % symbol is located too. Thanks

Don't get me wrong this is cheap but God knows what's in the ink in these pens.

Not that it's much of a health risk if there's anything really nasty in the ink (unless you're stupid enough to write on your skin or suck the pen) but at least if it's sold in the EU it's subject to proper regulation. Saying that there must be a lot of dodgy stuff shifted on eBay direct from China

I never have. Even with £200 phones. Usually sent via yodel for expensive things and never had a missing item or import tax.

Thanks for the reply, I've bought about 6 items from Gearbest in the last months (cos of this bloody place!), only recieved a couple and they're the cheapest items, so a little bit worried!

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind! Everything I've ordered so far has been through paypal, so hopefully all my items arrive!

I never have and I have ordered at least two dozen times. Things just show up.

I have one of these. Very good for the money - the pen is quite nice to write with and the screw drivers actually work quite well for small screws.

More stuff Ive ordered I have no use for!
