LOL, I must have slipped back into the 80's
I have 4 of the F3's. Love 'em. Fast & quiet.

Nice deal. The price is good, but not much better than the separate items. And personally I would go for a 2TB 5400rpm disk now - you can never have enough space.

True, you can never have enough space, but having 2x 1tb drives gives you more options than a single 2tb drive. Like having one system drive and one for storage will speed things up, or having two separate drives for storage means you're less likely to lose all your data (if one drive fails you'll only lose the data on that drive - with a single 2tb drive, if it failed you'd lose everything). Then you've got RAID options - RAID0 for twice the speed, albeit at twice the risk of failure, or RAID1 for an automatic backup of everything. And these drives would be good for any of that.

1 tb is 1024 gb :P

Good deal RAM normally 40 has been 35 fir last week or so f3 40 fir a week or so.£5 saving plus free post with av forum. Bought along with Trupower 650w modular. My sandybridge set up is coming along nicely although seeing the recall news I may wait a while longer on getting CPU and motherboard!!!

yeah, but realistically after you've plugged it in and it's installed it's drivers etc, you'll have around 1000gb

what's up with the pic? Its cute!

I have 4 X 1Tb F3's attached to an onboard intel Matrix Raid controller. I have them configured so i have 1.5TB mirrored and a 1Tb Stripe

(the Matrix controller lets you do a mirror and a stripe using only 2 drives !)
