Looks good although I'd consider going for a NAS drive if spending that much. Depends what you're requirements are though

yeah 1tb just available to one machine seems a bit pointless (might as well just go internal) and imagine how long it would take to transfer 1tb over usb! i'd much prefer esata and gigabit.

also, raid1 shouldn't be used for backup, its for failover, plus of course you've only got 500gb of storage then ;-)

seems like a fair price for what it is (drives alone would be 120ukp) just doesn't suit me - especially as it seems heavily windows-based.

i had a buffalo linkstation before, and man, it was slowwwwwwww! That was connected over a gigabit ethernet network too. Very disappointing, so sold it on. Put me off Buffalo products since.

Decent price, but for me cold deal due to my past experiances with buffalo products.

I would be careful if your thinking about getting it and read reviews etc. If it mentions slow speeds don't bother! I was only getting about 2MBps Read and 1MBps Write max - which is Very very poor

gets half decent reviews. not a bad deal if u want the raid feature. if not then theres better options out there
