No way of knowing before you buy how many write cycles have been done. …No way of knowing before you buy how many write cycles have been done. Drive could be on it's last legs or be nearly new. It's a gamble.

Released last July.
Rated for 1,800TB writes
That’s over 6TB written per day to a 1TB drive.

Do you know for a fact that Corsair do this?

They are a reputable company and I doubt they are selling trashed drives with a warranty.

Refurbished .... NO THANK YOU!!!
Put refurbished at start of title. Cold
Significant risk to lose your data.

Drives these days support so many write cycles that this can't have even been on the market long enough to come close to it's theoretical limit.
I purchased a refurb 2 years ago, died within 6 months of purchase... Used as a boot drive with nothing on it besides windows.... No data on it luckily

Saw this and thought WOW been waiting for this price as I need 2 of them.... then saw the word “refurbished” I’ll pass
These use TLC memory which supports more write/erase cycles than the QLC chips in the other drives in this price range. Also, any drive can fail at any time, back up your important stuff!
might as well get XPG for a little more new at this....
It’s a gamble but Corsair are renowned for selling new old stock or returns as refurbished. So potentially you’ll be getting a new drive.
Amazing deal thanks for posting this, Corsair are really good for their refurbs so going to take the gamble

You're right Ashley.n,
Corsair tries not to devalue their brand showing clearance or sales and repackage 'new' old stock (NOS) in a white box and usually only sell it from their own website or Scan, I've only ever received untouched new mice/keyboards/ssd/fans.

Their Mouse&Keybd, Fans and Cases are overrated for the last few years though imo.

It's similar to the way the bigger Car Manufacturers never show sales pushes with a discount,
instead they give you 'free' interest free credit and cashback.
Delivered and installed today. As far as I can see, this is a brand new drive. The box was a little tatty. After imaging, Crystal Disk Info reported only 350GB of data has been written to the drive (the size of my image).

Absolute bargain!
