1TB Samsung SpinPoint Z4 2.5" Hard Disk Drive

SATA (Internal) for Laptops/Notebooks

Ordered it after searching for the cheapest on internet. May not fit all notebooks cos it may be 12mm in thickness.

---------------

Before anyone asks, this will NOT fit in your PS3 Phat or Slim due to the 12.5mm height.

Suck that it's 12.5 mm.

Good price for this capacity.

It is a 12mm drive, so is higher than the usual 9mm laptop drives - it'll have three platters instead of two - so won't fit in most laptops unless they can take the extra height. I have a similar Western Digital WD10TPVT happily installed in my MacBook Pro from April 2010, and it's well worth it for the space! I believe all of the unibody MacBook Pros can take this larger size of drive. HTH.

Will this fit in an ASRock ION 330 nettop?

Would this be compatible with a PS3?? - Looking for a new hard drive as the one i have at the moment is nearly full

Ahh, this or an SSD - speed vs capacity

It is compatible with PS3 only thing is it probably wont fit in there cos its 12.5mm thick and not 9.5mm. Try searching on google and find out if its compatible with your version of PS3

Only the 'new' shape unibody MBP's fit 12mm HDD's pal.

EDIT: Just googled your model, and it is a unibody MBP, so should fit it. Do some more searching before ordering though mate.

Bought this a couple of weeks again as i live round the corner from CCL. I can confirm that it fits in the new unibody MBP

Anyone know the rotational speed? I like 7200rpm in my MBP

edIt: quick google reveals its 5400rpm.. I'll be holding out!

There is no 1TB hdd out in the market that can do 2.5" and 7200RPM both at the same time.

So this is it. The only higher capacity drive you can get is the 750GB 2.5 7200RPM currently.

Will this fit in an Acer Revo?
