Any known issues with this drive?

I stand corrected:

Verbatim 1TB USB Storage

"Works with USB Loader(GX) 1.0-1.5, USB Loader GX R894 and CFG Loader v50b3-fat (great loader). Worked great with 1TB partition full on fat32. great Working hdd."

Should be fine but you will probably have to format the drive to fat32 rather than NTFS.I dont have a nintendo wii myself but if an external hard drive can be connected to it then you should be fine as long as the drive has been formatted to the correct file system 'Fat32'.

If you dont know how to format the drive 1st connect the drive to your pc then place a shortcut of 'my computer' on your desktop then right click on it and select manage then select disk managment from the left hand side and any drives connected to your pc will appear on the right hand side, just choose the drive that you want to format and your done.

One thing to note about the Fat32 file system is that it will only hold files up to 4gb so if there are any files larger than 4gb then it wont work with fat32 but I think you should be ok with it.
Hope this helps

Thanks for that bboy71. I've got an old WD passport which can be very temperamental.

Managed to get this last year as a mis-price for £35.

Wii drives have to be formatted to WBFS not FAT32, its a doddle to do, just google "wbfsmanager" to get the freeware program, you then use WBFSmanager.exe (run as administrator) to put the games on the drive etc

Great deal  Will ring the various Leeds stores tomorrow to see if there's any in the area.

Totally correct, unless you have a wide age spread of kids you wont even half fill this drive. When you port games over using WBFS manager they dont take up the 4.7Gb of space of the original ISO, some are a fraction of the size. I have a 320Gb Iomega USB powered one in my Wii and I ended up reformatting it to be half WBFS and half FAT32 (PC reads FAT32 not WBFS and vice versa), so that I can store the original ISO's on the drive too...... its still not even half full and I have 32 of the "good" Wii games on it inc Mario Galaxy 2, Mario Kart and New Super Mario Bros:w00t:

1 TB drives work fine for Wii.

theres also 1.5TB for £59.99 instore, they had more of the 1TB at 49.99 though

and I paid £63 the other day for one, facepalm.

Heat given

Popped in Milton Keynes HMV, none left of either 1 or 1.5TB. When I asked, the chap said they are being discontinued, hence the reduction.

Rang Birmingham (High St) at 0945 today - one of each left at the reduced prices. They wouldn't let me reserve one and as it'll take me 90 mins to get there I'm not going to risk it. So enjoy...

Called up a couple of local branches (Windsor, Bracknell) and apparently they are now totally sold out. Not sure what kind of access this guy had to the entire HMV network of products but he was aware that they were very popular because of the excellent price and expects them to be totally gone now.

Good luck if you can find one. I need one and this is a perfect price! Dammit!

went to both in manchester, they didnt have any

got one from Leeds, at least one left no 1.5TB though shame.

none in Glasgow Argyle st

They had both the 1Tb & 1.5Tb in Fort Shopping Park, Birmingham this evening as well as some portable 320Gb & 500Gbs...

Got myself a 1.5Tb

none in both York HMV
