Does not meet Sony's specified read speeds of 5500MB/s for PS5, although it's so close it'll work.

If I wanted a cheap PS5 drive I would probably get a Netac NV7000 or something like that which easily exceeds the required speeds.

They're about £70 on Amazon right now with voucher with the 2TB being £116. The 2TB is clearly great value. They have the recommended heatsink for PS5 too which means you don't have to stump up another £5-£10 for one to fit to this.

If you want the Netac even cheaper Aliexpress is where it's at. Slow delivery times and questionable ability to RMA but you'll save more once again.....

Can never have enough SSD storage, suprising how quickly in 2023 you can fill a 1TB drive. So brought ''2 x 2TB WD_BLACK SN770's'' a few weeks back, seem a good purchase so far.

Is this really ps5 compatible? Sony suggest the sn850, which I have, although 2tb is very tempting!
