Note the G4 are brighter than 1w, I think it was said they are 1.6w - and they aren't dimmable so if you have a dimmer attached to the lamp, you may have to leave 1 regular bulb in else none will light (or flicker). (edited)

I bought these at £1. Mine flicker with my transformers. Disappointed. Might revert to Halogen ones.

If you have multiple, then leaving one halogen should resolve the issue

I picked some of the 12v ones up which are warm white. Due the job on my 12v system.

The linear R7 I got to try as these have always been around the tenner mark.
I have the yellow tripod floodlight I'll blow the dust off any try.

Have LEDs in kitchen. Still need one halogen in each row otherwise voltage is too low and nothing goes on. Very annoying.

Just had all my halogen G4 bulbs in the kitchen replaced with LEDs. Had to get new drivers though, they are sensitive to the power being taken by the bulbs. Have 5W LED G4 bulbs, 1W sound rubbish, tried some 1.5W ones, they were awful.

Super hot, bought a load when they were £1 and that was a good price, this is insane vs other prices on the market.

What are the R7s used in?

Family have a few halogen uplighter (3-500w??) that I've scared them out of using due to cost, would the R7s be a suitable replacement?
