I've had one of these for ages , works well

2 QUALITY BATTERY TESTERS FOR JUST £1.99 - Just the job for quickly checking the condition/state of your batteries. Every House should have one (or even two perhaps!). Quickly shows you the remaining power on the easy to read scale. Suitable for testing the very popular AA, AAA, C, D and also 9 volt (block) sizes as well as smaller button cells. Small matchbox size widget to save you hassle and uncertainty - easily stored in a camera bag pocket etc.
Measures 5x5x2.3cm and weighs in at just 36 grams.

This has been posted loads of time before and the same point is always made. It only will give you a clear reading if the battery is fully charged or a dead as Gordon Brown's personality... Any battery which is just low will show the same as a new one straight from the packet.

I often find that in many of my devices, one rechargeable battery in a pair or a foursome goes flat quicker than the others and so I use these testers to see which one needs replacing.

I find these testers very useful and this is the cheapest I've seen them. I therefore vote this hot!

I have one and can confirm it is as near useless as anything can be :-(

I paid 99p for mine, I wouldn't want 2!

I paid this for a (seriously pocket-sized) multimeter, much better imo

There is a common belief on here (and elsewhere) that if you keep saying something untrue, it will become true, despite other people confirming it, therefore, two can play at that game, so I confirm once more that is is crap too! :whistling:

i've tested 'low batteries' i.e. ones which dont work in a Wii remote and it say they are fine. I test the batteries on an amp/volt meter and they are shown to be low. I think you've missed the obvious...

or should I say I have completely missed the 'quote', you're completely right...humble pie, humble pie!

I ordered one of these last time they were posted.

I do agree that it may not show a particularly clear reading HOWEVER it does show you the difference between a new or used battery. The main thing I want to find out.
