Posting from phone so hope it turns out ok,
Groupons national deal is a 2 cup coffee maker with two mugs included sold and manufactured by james russell. Not heard of that brand before but it is definitely a good price and quite a funky looking machine to boot. available in black cream or red. Dont know much about the spec such as tank capacity but it is also capable of making tea and hot chocolate apparently!

Is it any good ?
Ha. Thought it was a scooter helmet at first glance. Not sure why there'd be a cup of coffee in there, oh well.
Yep, if PowerRangers made coffee, they'd have one of these...
I imagine this will be pretty rubbish at that price and by the looks of it but would love someone to prove me wrong

Thanks to whoever ammended title and added pic. Perhaps not the best on the market but i still think this is a good price for a coffee maker-with cups! And it doesnt use those pod things which just seems another way for the manufacturers to get your money.
it seems like it's a filter coffee maker and not an espresso maker. so it's essentially the design that is different to other filter coffee makers, no the discounted price!

you can check it out here:

hope this helps
Please don't buy this coffee maker! Mine has just arrived and I feel conned. It is tiny and made of cheap flimsy plastic. It is definitely not worth the £70 Groupon claim. It is about 20cm in height and the 'mugs' that come with it are only 8cm tall! I'm going to try to get a refund.
Learn from my mistake......
thanks coffeefiend for your warning, i was tempted to buy one and now will not!
its awful, cheap, tiny and will cost more to send back!!!
i ordered red & got cream, which looks like its sat in a sunny shop window since the 70s. the pictures made it look good, but in truth, it would only be ideal for a caravan(in the 70s)

Surely this is the same thing for £6 less? … Surely this is the same thing for £6 less? http://www.gadgets.co.uk/item/2CUPCOFFEE/2-Cup-Desktop-Filter-Coffee-Maker.html

yes it it!!!
mattofberwick - I called the James Russell customer services on 0871 911 7000 and told them I was returning it for a refund. The woman I spoke to wasn't surprised at all and organised a collection free of charge.

Thanks, glad I didn't order one!
Just recieved mine today. Can`t agree more with the above coments. Would not give £10 for this if i seen it in a shop let alone the £20 i paid through groupon. Miss-selling at its best- claim a product bought for about £6 is worth £70, get 100`s of people to buy it through discounted web sites for £20 with the aid of some clever photography, and when 70-80% of customers send it back for a refund, give every reason under the sun why there money can not be refunded. £20 in pocket and product to sell again, genius! I might be wrong, will have to wait and see if i get my refund.
Thank God I found this page before buying yet another donkey from Groupon - the queen site of mis advertising and mis selling

Thanks people
I'll agree with the above comments. This thing is a real piece of s***. It might be worth £10 at best. Flimsy, cheap and really slow to make a drink!

To be fair it doesn't make bad coffee, but capacity is really only 1 (normal sized) cup, not 2 as advertised.

I'd give it a miss if i was you!
This deal is on again, and I just got here to have a look at the comments.
Thanks all!

(Needless to say i won't bother?)
Mine arrived yesterday and the second I opened it I loughted out loud! My partner said that it looks like a kiddos toy! Very plasticky and cheap looking. Nevertheless I made an illy coffee and it was actually quite nice. Not very frothy but ok taste. As we are only occasional coffee drinkers I think that I will keep it and for me the size is actualy a plus side as it doesn't take a lot of storage space. So yeah you get what you paid for (maybe even overpaid for) ;-)
The fact that Amazon are selling them via the same company for under £20 just shows that there is no discount being given here! I don't know how they keep getting away with it.
and the offer is back on Groupon....

People should complain GROUPON about this product.

Over 1000 sold....would love to know how many return them!
I am SOOOO glad I found this site! Was very tempted to buy this as I'm trying to kit out my new red and black kitchen for a reasonably low price, I thought this would look great! I was sadly mistaken by the sounds of things! I will definately ve keeping my money safely in my pocket! Thanks to everyone who gave their reviews as they really do work in deterring unsuspecting people of parting with their well earned cash!
Groupon are trying to flog this Again this week. I can only assume they've got hundreds left.
so glad you all left your reviews as I was going ot buy. haven't had much luck with Groupon - bought make-up brushes and they when you use them they leave so many hairs from the brush on your face! Dire!!
Well, what you all say might just be true as I have just been offered one off a Freecycle site, its only been used a couple of times.
I pick it up tomorrow... I'm sure it will be fine (its FREE) (_;)
its back on there again! glad I read this before parting with my dosh!
Yikes, I was tempted too, but luckily got here before giving it a whirl.
Seems that Groupon are at it again, the 'deal' is back on... Same price £20!

Thank you guys so much for the feedback left, you've probably saved a lot of people both time and cash! You've certainly saved me from losing both!
It's now on again. I'm glad I always research these things before I buy. Will give it a miss. Thank you
Wish I had seen this site before I ordered one, thought it looked quite good from the pictures not so sure now but I will wait until it arrives before judging, will post on hear again after it comes. Thank everyone
Just seen the deal on Groupon , tempted but after reading the comments will be staying well clear.Groupon do sell some naff stuff.Would like to hear if you get your money back from Groupon. Strange how you cant leave feedback on Groupon
I wanted to add my 2p to this thread, to give a more objective view.
The manufacturer now is called "Cooks" and I bought it last week from Groupon for £20 including free UK mainland delivery (arrived 2 days later - and very well packaged).
It is certainly NOT worth the advertised £75, but I believe that it is good value for £20, especially if you are single or just fancy a small shot of coffee, without the need to use a cafetiere.
The 2 cups supplied are a mere 120ml each - thus the whole capacity is one big mug's worth.
The machine is VERY SMALL - almost child-like, which actually appeals to me.
Please note, this is NOT an espresso maker, it is a simple coffee-filter machine.
Yes, Argos do sell a CookWorks filter machine for £10 - that that one is too big for me.
On balance, if you want an espresso machine, this is NOT it, but if you are happy with a small shot of coffee, without needing to wash a whole cafetiere - this is quite OK...
I bought this and it arrived yesterday, and for me I'd say it's perfect. I only ever have small cups of coffee, and it fits perfectly on my bedside table to provide a drink first thing in the morning. Definitely not worth the £70, but I'm happy with it for £20.
Been using it now for a full month. Still happy with mine.
Its not a super-hot bargain - but still suits me down to the ground ;-)
I bought one from eBay. I paid the grand sum of £2.04 & then €3.50 delivery. Really, I was just buying for the sake of it to try out the Parcel Motel delivery service & I have to say I am delighted with both! The coffee maker is brilliant. I love it for all the reasons listed above as negatives. It is only about 15cmW x 20cmD x 20cmH ish & so tiny it would fit on any bedside table. It is so small it actually fits in the little pull out drawer section my locker has for holding my slippers. Of course as a little filter maker it is never going to compare to the all bells & whistles Gaggia in the kitchen or even the Tassimo in the study, but for a quick cup of coffee early am it does the job.
