I did an assignment about Obesity a few years ago in the Uni, but was eating like a horse and burning nothing, and ignored my own advice and conclusions in my assignment but this year I challenged myself to lose 3 stones and I’m on target, I hope people, like me, wake up soon and see the danger of eating fast food, and do something to stop or prevent being obese before it’s too late

Take a look at what we ate during the 60s - we were all beanpoles (mostly), yet they say we all 'exercised' back then (did we hell!) , were outside as kids, yeah, that's true.

But do you know what, I can't remember ANYONE doing a marathon, running or jogging every night of their lives, or going to the gym - do you want me to go on? In the 70s we were called 'the lazy man of Europe'.
Nobody, nobody worked on a Sunday, it was 'day of rest!' LOL.

Fast food was virtually unheard of but the problem from the USA was starting and a few McDonalds and others opened.

We had 'full' cream gold or silver topped milk (in glass bottles delivered daily on the doorstep), we drank it daily in school, we had butter, we had dripping on toast, we had cream, we even ate SUGAR lumps!!
As for fizzy drinks... We drank Coca Cola in green glass bottles we recycled LOL.
We had Corona (not the crap Mexican beer) but lemonade delivered by the crate regularly to your door weekly (didn't even have to go out for it! - my we were lazy sods!) - my fave was Limeade! We recycled, returnable bottles!
NOBODY was obese - except Billy Bunter, and he was in a comic!

Then in the 90s came the so-called 'healthy eating' - ditch the milk for (YUK!) skimmed rubbish.
Ditch the butter for Spreads (full of rubbish - have a look at the ingredients list!)

Fast food took off. As did the absolute fear of one 3 letter word 'FAT'.
God forbid you eat anything with fat in it or on it.
OMG! You're not eating red meat? OMG! You have left the 'fat' on, you'll die!
Low fat this, low fat that. It's healthy. NO IT'S NOT!
A population scared to death of the word 'fat'. Scared to death of the word 'Sugar'. So they drink Sugar free, full to the brim with artificial sweeteners. You couldn't make it up.
Yet the irony is everyone GOT FAT, is Fat or getting fat!
Except those with a brain in their head. So-called 'Healthy eating'? Don't make me laugh!

I'm not saying don't eat fast food, just do it in moderation. Sadly, so very many don't.
They LIVE on it and are now paying the price or will be.

I don’t think there is much profit in this for BK.
Can you use these in airports?
These are very small burgers, not regular size, in case anyone isn't aware.
Used to use this particular voucher every few weeks it came onto the app. Over time they locked everything behind a registered account. I ended up deleting the app and now I'm using the McD printed vouchers instead.

For an extra 49p you could have 2xbig macs and 2x fries. Much better deal than the tiny double cheeseburgers from burger king.

They are the standard size for a cheeseburger, hamburger and double cheeseburger. I would say they are regular size rather than being whopper sized. These are comparable to the £1.59 double cheeseburger that McDonalds serve.
I ordered this the last time it was available.

I finished both burgers and one of the pack of fries but was too full to eat the second one.

Good value and taste was reasonable.

Voted hot.
I’m starting to understand why people dislike these

I agree with you mate.. absolutely correct evrything u said..I do like a fillet o fish now and then..I blame technology and fast food shops, where i live there is a fast food shop every 4 or 5 shops down. All I see is fat kids eating 99p chicken n chips and burger meals. We are becoming a nation of obesity ..following the yanks

I used to be able to get them. Some greedy gut took a whole bundle of Metro and cut the vouchers and returned the whole lot back to the newspaper holder!

Early bird catches the worm....

Seriously though, if you do get the McD vouchers, just keep hold of them and re-use them at the self service touch screens. I've not had to hand them in yet and keep them in my wallet until they expire.
It does drive me nuts that BK uses the app for offers (good) and McD's hardly ever has offers on the app and when they do, it's just one item - you end up having to use paper vouchers or obscure self-service screen codes for most McD's offers.

I'd use Burger King more if a) you could customise your order in the app like the McD's app can (e.g. I'd order this cheesebuger offer without the cheese!), b) you could order/pay just before entering store using the app (this is another good McD's app feature) and c) they didn't keep shutting BK stores (the one closest to my workplace shut down earlier this year, probably because it was right opposite a much bigger McD's).

I've got expired vouchers in my wallet that are still scanning.

You know you could just show the cashier the app voucher in Burger King and then ask to customise it and remove the cheese? Burger King had the slogan "Have it Your Way" long before McDs started offering customisation via the touchscreen.

Except I literally want to grab and dash when going to McDonalds. The less delay/talking to a human the better, so the ability to customise and pay before you even walk in is actually very valuable to me. I always do it a few mins before I get to the restaurant so they have time to prepare it and have it ready very soon after I walk in.

I was referring to Burger King where you have to order at the counter (very very few stores have touchscreens) and the fact that you can still use the app voucher and get the burger customised.

For McDonalds I do think they should add the ability to scan the barcodes using the phone camera, at least then you can do the same with the app as you can with the kiosk. The McDs app also needs to start accepting Apple/Google Pay!
