Comparethemarket.com are taking over from Orange as the sponsor of free cinema tickets. Customers who buy qualifying products/services through the website will be able to use the new Meerkat Movies app to claim 2 for 1 cinema tickets on any Tuesday or Wednesday for a year!

Not sure if every online purchase qualifies or only selected ones but from looking at the app it seems that if you choose the cinema tickets reward then you can't claim a toy :-(

iPhone app: appsto.re/gb/…5.i
Android app: play.google.com/sto…_GB

It's not really a catch is it? Their whole offer is based around being an incentive for their customers.

Complaining about that is like saying Vauxhall are offering free car insurance, but you have to buy a car from them to qualify ... Always a catch....

Cold Imo. Useful deal IF you buy a product. The Orange one was more or less open to anyone with an Orange sim. And yes, I do see the 'buying a product' similarly, but how often does anyone buy insurance. Still, only Imo.

It's a 12 month membership to Meerkat Movie after the purchase of an insurance product!

It also valid for purchasesmonths made in the past 12 months

Only good if you buy insurance from them

However if you do buy or have bought in the last year, it will work out even better than EE Wednesday as there will be no charge for a text each time. Also allows Tuesday as well as Wednesday, so more versatility.
Have just activated mine and will be interesting to see if it works with a cineworld card the way EE did.

Ok so Orange\EE Wednesdays didn't have catch? Oh wait you were supposed to have a contract or PAYG sim with them, you had to pay for a text and you needed to pay the bill or add credit to your sim.

When will people learn that to get something free, you normally have to do something first.

has anyone worked out a cheap way to get this deal? Dont need any insurances etc at the moment!

is this just for new and now insurance as my partner got insurance last summer?

Yes it does

As a regular cinema go'er I weep for the predicted wave of naff, tired out meercat related, film themed adverts prior to the feature presentation. I will have to time my entry into the theatre even more carefully from now on.

Credit card? Then just cancel the card after receiving it??

Maybe the cheapest pet insurance and cancel it after a week.:)

Darn, got travel insurance from moneysupermarket not long ago, missed out there. Would love some camera gear insurance but they don't do that. Maybe my mum would like some travel insurance....

If you have bought insurance on the last year you can get it, presumably if you haven't got a toy. Sign in to see.

Seems to work with historic policies. I took out home insurance with them a year or so ago. It's just activated it for me now.

I just sign on, done home insurance 9 months agos, got the toy and they gave me 3 months membership, enjoy.

I wonder which insurance it has to be. You can buy single trip uk travel insurance cheap.

COLD!!1 I HAV 2 BYE SUMFING TO GET THE REWARD.

Once a year for different insurances?

It's a pity I've just got a Baby Oleg for renewing my car insurance through them, I'll have to check the house insurance through them next.

Just a tip for anyone using them, if you bought an orange sim for orange Wednesday's purely for that and are going to look for insurance on here, use that mobile number, you will end up with hundreds of calls from ppi or have you had a crash in the last 3 years. I wouldn't use your real home number either!

and your email address gets sold on to every PPI and casino site in the universe

It would be greatif you could get 2for1 tickets by taking Travel Insurance, I just got a quote (for a policy I would never use) for £2.74!.

Other free options would be changing energy suppliers or applying for a credit card but for both you would loose out on potential cashback of (up to £30 for switching energy) and of cause a credit card application could affect your credit rating.

Just in time for insurance renew next month. Thanks

Not working on historic purchases for me...only last September as well...did get a toy though
