Cadbury took the money & ran! ...if I were to visit this once great british institution it'd be as a heckler!
Not impressed, they had a good deal of british goodwill & affection for their confectionry.

Kraft World ?

Was going to post exactly that!

To echo the sentiments of the other posters, I wouldn't consider visiting this venue now it's owned by Kraft.

Or rather, the RBS (owned by the our Government) have helped bank roll the sale of a British institution to a foreign company. You couldn't write this stuff as fiction.

tempting

went last year - it's mediocre at best. lots of history to read about, the tour of the factory is exactly what you think it will be, you get some free bars of chocolate and theres a few novelty rides for the kids.

worth going if you have young kids and/or live in the local area -if you dont live in local area and dont have kids, i wouldnt bother.

I have been twice with the family, as posted above ok if you are in the area but don't travel across the country for it. There is also the Kraft Cadbury issue now (as above).

We went yesterday for my lads birthday, even the kids were bored, and we only got 3 freebies each. Not worth the price of entry really, the (very small) museum out the back is free tho. Would recommend Warwick Castle instead as it's not too far away from Cadbury World, about the same price of entry and the kids will enjoy it more, trust me.

Cheaper to go to supermarket get a couple of chocolate bars and read up on cadbury's on wikipedia.
I went years ago and it was really boring.

I wouldnt bother if i was you even at this price, i expected a lot more and took 2 hrs to get round and i only got 1 dairy milk bar, a curly wurly and a small pack of buttons free.

exactly what we got each yesterday. I remember as a kid getting given more as we went round, and seeing a lot more stuff. There used to be the worlds biggest chocolate bar there.

Went a few years ago and it was really dull. Avoid at all cost.. As someone mentioned better to go to the supermarket and stock up on chocolate.

I only live a few miles away from the factory and I thought it was a waste of time.

Original Poster

You used to get loads of freebies when i was younger and if you went at easter they gave you a medium sized easter egg aswell

Its a waste of money - only worth 50p entrance fee - no wonder it is closing down, must be the worst value visiter attraction in the world

i took the kids a couple years ago when they were younger but really not that much of a deal
and now the yanks have it its just gonna get worse(if that is possible )

went last year, boring and not alot of free chocolate lol
