First post so please be gentle if I've messed it up. Just saw the other post about the Ferrari at Buyagift so thought I'd post this up as it's a really good deal. I've bought some for my nieces and nephews it really looks like a good day out and really cheap at £29 for two for a 2-3 hour experience.

Also don't forget to use their 25% off code '843843'

From the Buyagift website:

Swing by for some tree-time

Climb the trees and slide across high wires, crawl through tunnels, cross rope bridges, walk the planks, and zip down to the ground! Go Ape is an award winning high wire forest adventure course with a network of rope bridges, trapezes and zip slides, all set high up in the tree tops. Appealing to a wide age range, customers are fitted with a climbing harness, given safety instructions, and then trek from tree to tree high above the forest floor, without supervision. Go on Go Ape and live life adventurously.

Location
Thetford Forest, Suffolk; Bedgebury Forest, Kent; Alice Holt, Surrey; Bracknell, Berkshire (South East) Moors Valley, Dorset(South West) Sherwood Pines, Nottinghamshire; Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire (Midlands) Delamere Forest, Cheshire; Grizedale Forest, Cumbria (North West) Buxton, Derbyshire; Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire (North) Aberfoyle, Stirlingshire (Scotland) More locations during 2008

Agenda
On arrival you will receive a safety briefing and full instruction on how to use the safety equipment. Then its off to the tree tops for your Go Ape adventure. Expect to spend 2.5-3 hours on the course.

Notes

On purchasing this experience you will be issued with a voucher valid for ten months. Minimum age: 10 years. Minimum height: 1.4m / 4 feet 7 inches. Maximum weight: 130kg / 20.5 stone. Dates are available weekround from March to October. You are advised to book early for weekend dates, especially during school holidays when the courses are particularly popular. The Grizedale location is not available on Saturdays.

Note on weight and size restrictions: Go Ape operate with Petzl pandion harnesses as they best suit our needs and health and safety requirements. The size of this harness dictates the size of customer that we can safely allow to participate on a Go Ape course. The maximum waist measurement of the harness is 110cm (43 inches) and the leg loops (which go around the top of your thighs) measure 70 cm (27 inches). If your statistics are close to or exceed these figures there is a possibility you may not fit in a harness and therefore will not be able to participate on the Go Ape course. (Waist measurements should be taken above the belly button; males weighing 18+ stone (115 kilos,) and females size 18+ are likely to be in this category).

description above is wrong, correct details are:

Locations:
Leeds Castle, Kent
Wendover Woods, Buckinghamshire
Haldon Forest, Devon

Valid until May 2008 only! Go Ape opens normally in March, but these three sites haven't been built yet, and the go ape website says only that they will be open by Easter 2008 (March 23rd).

The normal price is £25/person.

Hi Bowen
Just been on the site and bought a couple of the 2 for 1 deals - bargains! thanks! The special 2 for 1 offer isn't available at all the locations you've noted but they do have other offers there so not to worry!

thanks = certainly made my christmas shopping easier ;-)

Don't forget 12% Quidco from buy a gift!!:)

2 fo1 only at
Leeds Castle, Kent; Wendover Woods, Buckinghamshire (South East) Haldon Forest, Devon (South West)

we have a go ape at sherwood pines, Notts but it isnt included in the offer!!
Voted hot for those included:)

Great idea...thanks, bought one each for hubby and bro in law - only £45 for two at Thetford after the discount, fabulous!

Cannot recommend Go Ape highly enough ('scuse the pun!). My mate and I got this as a birthday presents from our other halves and it was fantastic. Well thought out, with all the safety gear you need, but you still feel like you are taking a risk. Such a refreshing change in this wrapped in cotton wool "Health & Safety" world we seem to live in these days!

Well said!

I love it here! a fantastic day out indeed. I have been on the old thetford course and the new one. Shame none are close to me but great deal!

Loved it when I did it, but got caught out as I was going to let my kids do it on their own.

Please note:

Under 18yr olds must be accompanied by a participating adult.

One adult COULD supervise:

- a 12 year old and a 17 year old
- a 10 year old and a 12 year old
- four 16 year olds

One adult COULD NOT supervise:

- two 13 year olds and a 16 year old
- a 14 year old and four 17 year olds
- three 10 year olds

Thanks for the heads up! I just bought the 2 For 1 offer for my boyfriend for Christmas - he'd better take me though!!

Great Post - cheers

any near london or birmingham

Also confirm on their website that they make an adult do it and pay - whether you want to or not. Also all locations seem to be closed for the winter!

Another recommendation for Go Ape here. Have done the Delamere Forest one, and had a great day.

Pity the OP is misleading, in that the 2-for-1 is only available at a quarter of the locations listed in the post.

Looks brilliant...shame they're all 'down south':x

Still voted HOT:thumbsup:

How about this:
buyagift.co.uk/Pro…ide)
£289 - 25% - 12% Quidco that's only about £190.....

Or a choice of 35 activities for the same as above!
buyagift.co.uk/Pro…her

looks like a great deal but not available at any of the northern locations. shame:-(

Banned

Probably because it's always wet up north?

They have raised prices a lot over the last few years on this. Used to be £14.50 adults, £9.50 children.

Supply and demand I guess.

All these experiences are overinflated. I paid £180 for mine, direct from the airfield.

25% (£18.75) off next two weeks at

Moors Valley
Buxton
Dalby
Forest of Dean
Alice Holt

goape.co.uk/Con…134

tip if you buy this

enter code to get 25% off
go through checkout and buy it
then refer 3 friends to get a free £5 voucher for next time (code 300333)
go back into the site and add something low in price, eg raunchy wrapping paper for £6.50

DONT ENTER the £5 code as theres no need, the same 25% you just saved on the £30 jungle thingy is still appearing in your cart and it works out less than £2 after delivery for the wrapping paper because you get £7.50 off Ka-Ching!

Assuming this works across everything you could order a £600 gift for £450 (25% off) ... and get another gift for £150 absolutely free!!!

So spend £450 and get £750 of gifts!:w00t:

it was chatteris

I've been to the Delamere Forrest one a few weeks ago. We had a great time but it was over a bit too quick for our liking. Even taking the black routes. We did the big zip line at the end twice to make up for it. I'd love to do it again.
