Collect nine tokens, starts next weekend!

9 x tokens needed, paper is 40p mon - fri and 50p at weekends - and I assume you'll need to send an SAE!

To claim your tickets to Alton Towers Resort worth £92, simply collect NINE differently numbered tokens from the SEVENTEEN we are printing every day from March 2 until March 18.
Closing dates for applications is strictly Wednesday March 20, 2013. Get yours in early as tickets will be allocated on a first come first served basis and are subject to availability.
FIVE STEPS TO GET YOUR FREE PAIR OF TICKETS TO ALTON TOWERS RESORT, WORTH £92
STEP ONE: Collect NINE differently numbered tokens from the SEVENTEEN that we'll be printing in The Sun. Token one was printed on Saturday March 2. Applications without the correct number of tokens will be void.
STEP TWO: Complete all sections of the application form printed in the pullout on Wednesday March 6 or printed from this website after reading the offer terms and conditions. You MUST choose 5 bands from those provided, in your order of preference, in the spaces provided on the ticket application form. Applications that do not have the 5 bands indicated in order of preference will be processed last. We will of course do our utmost to allocate tickets from your preferred band. NOTE: YOUR TICKETS WILL ONLY BE VALID FOR ONE SPECIFIC DAY FROM YOUR CHOSEN BAND and are not transferrable. We regret that we cannot meet specific date requests from within selected bands. Please note that The Smiler opens in May. Some of our tickets will be allocated on dates before its launch.
STEP THREE: You MUST include a self addressed envelope at least 15cm x 8cm with a 1st class stamp attached. Applications that do not include an SAE will not be processed.
STEP FOUR: You MUST write your 5 band choices (in order of preference) on the bottom right hand corner of the front of the envelope you send your application in (not your SAE).
STEP FIVE : Send your completed ticket application form, with nine differently numbered tokens attached, together with your SAE to the address on the form. Allow 28 days to receive your tickets – although tickets for band A will be despatched as priority. Last date for receiving applications is Wednesday, March 20 and we cannot process applications received after that date. In the unlikely event that we are unable to allocate tickets for any of your five chosen preferences, we will contact you with an equivalent alternative.
Dates and bands will be shown on the booking form, available to download from this website from Wednesday, March 6.

Excellent news, I was keeping an eye out for this offer.
Heat
Have they put the midweek price back up? I thought it was only 40p (Mon-Fri). Good offer though. Might collect the tickets for someone else, as I get to go twice a year (free gratis), courtesy of our pupils.
forgot about the part about selling your soul for a few coins
I know its not same for everyone but this paper isn't worth using for bog roll
Does anyone know what the bands will be?
Great deal, still don't think I could face buying that rag though.......
woop. I do this every year.
Offer doesn't include Alton Towers car parking charge.

I went there last year for second time in my life, think it was £100 all in with Parking, including entrance fees for two.

I was squirming inside handing over the money (as I had no vouchers, and knew there was often a two for one deal), but had to keep things cool (a closet money saver that day) as it had being my idea.

We did have a great time though, mainly because the place was empty and we got round the whole complex, but you do feel you're on a money making machine conveyor belt, while your there. Best recommendation: take a packed lunch.

I can stomach the rides, just can't stomach..buying the Sun, but a good offer to those that can. Your stomach's more hardy than mine.

Thanks for heads up
Went last time they did this and it was empty. we went on oblivion twice in 15mins
Probably the same bands as the recent Chessington offer... But I can't remember them!!
Buy a few copies each day and send them off in you families name/address. Swap or sell unwanted dates on flea-bay. Dont forget to blank out the barcodes as Alton towers check e-bay and can block tickets.
Have been to Alton Towers a few times with these deals, however you are not restricted to the date on the ticket, this is just to control numbers. We used tickets from a different date and got in no problem during scarefest.
Should this not be in the vouchers section?

The others have not been like Chessington and Thorpe Park. It is a great deal.
love it! Hot!!
DON'T BUY THE SUN !!!!! LIES LIES LIES LIES A DISGUSTING IMMORAL ORGANISATION !!!!
Just been to Alton Towers (18/19 of May) and had a good time currently there are a few rides out of use because they are building the smiler. Oblivion and 13 were not working because of the build in that area of the park.

Other rides not working include both water rides skyride and ripsaw.
Worth going after The Smiler has opened.

Indeed. I'm certain they will be operating at a loss on this deal too (£96 worth of tickets for £4.50) - I'm going for it anyway, but curious as to what the date bands will be
This link sends you to last years booking form, which shows you date bands. I'm guessing they will be similar dates this year.

Has anyone else tried this? Don't want a wasted trip. Fab if it does work!
Also combine this with local Travelodge from £18 not bad if traveling long way
With regards to cutting out and binning, buying the rag = contributing to their sales and profits. Vile organisation. I'd be ashamed to be seen buying it, let alone reading it. *shudder*

I don't the sun will be paying anywhere near £86 to Merlin. This is because they will be relying on the adverts in the paper. Due to this promotion many business will pay a lot more because the readership or binship will increase. Also Merlin are thinking we get them in they think they have come in for nothing. So many people will go and food drinks ride pictures and all the other bits.

Give it back to your newsagent then. They will probably send it back. They you have just put money in the newsagents pockets and not NI.

accidentally hit like, instead of reply

agree about the newspaper destined for recycle bag, but I am in for the deal
Votes hot because its a good deal but as others said, is it worth buying the sun and increasing their sales? Up to the individual.

Don't buy the Sun!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If I did buy it I don't think I would have anywhere to store it or the right equipment to be able to handle its heat.

Thanks, have done this offer for the last few years
Look at everyone throwing their toys out the pram over the Sun.
For those that don't like buying the sun,why not see if your local library gets it & just tear out the voucher

I got the Chessington vouchers last year and managed to get Sunday tickets I could actually use. But this is the deal I've been waiting for. I could care less what paper you have to buy for the tickets - less than a tenner including all papers and stamps versus a silly amount of money to get the tickets at Alton Towers' website. That's a deal, even if the paper goes straight in recycling! There's often people willing to swap/sell tickets on local FB pages too, if you don't get the dates you wanted.
If you are so worried about buying the sun, then at the same time buy two copies of every other paper, that way in a way it's like you never bought it. And probably still work out as a hot deal if you did that.

Basically, the deal is very hot. We get it that the paper sucks, but you're only buying it to cut it up anyway.
Does it matter which 9 tokens you get out of the 17? Does they have to be consecutive days or anything? Or just any of the 17?
