Looks good, but can't find 12 strawberry plants for £3.99. Help!!??
Thanks op...one allotment nutter very pleased ta.
The apple is not self-fertile, so no point in buying just the one unless a neighbour also has one.

Hmmm Having checked elsewhere online, it seems that the Braeburn is self-fertile and does not need a pollination partner, but fruiting will usually be improved if there is a compatible partner of a different variety nearby.

Well I thought that but I have one with not one anywhere near and get 20 to 30 apples per year
Morrisons are currently selling fruit trees at £5 each - range of fruits including Braeburn, Coxes and James Grieve apples.
Won't they come as a twig and take an age to establish
Average deal. 2 fruit trees for £17 (inc p & p) about the going price, as mentioned above can be got cheaper in supermarkets. Be aware these will be little more than 2 foot sticks that will take a few years to get established and produce a decent harvest.

Two years until first crop and that will be a small one. Five years for maximum crop. All trees tend to be a long term investment. This is the third year for my pears and am anticipating a reasonable return.

Bit late in the year for bare root isn't it?
