£2 garden spade at Poundland Birmingham

LocalFound 27th Jul
I saw a cracker of a deal posted by @Caroline_1993 for a spade and fork reduced to 2 for £5 from £5 each. I popped into the Birmingham city centre branch, there was no advertising for but I thought I’d give it a go. The fork still scanned at the original price of £5 but the spade scanned at £2

It’s pretty sturdy so very happy with my bargain. If your local hasn’t got the signs up for the 2 for £5 it’s worth scanning to see what comes up

Update: the specific brand for the spade is Greenlands

If its a wooden handle I'd probably break it on first use - combination of not knowing my own strength and the hard ground...but perhaps really because I don't like gardenning. I recommend an all-steel one - will last longer.

It’s a very heavy sturdy plastic one; hopefully my raw brute strength can be tamed while digging my hydrangeas

Poundsland?
It's the McDonald's pound saver menu all over again.
I think £2 for a spade to dig over your borders and the likes is an ok deal.

Agreed, but if I was gonna bury the husband I’d probably invest in a proper shovel

It would be rude not to
It’s definitely a spade alright.

That’s just the type of guy I am.
So then... Spade + Fork = £7
How is this better than the 2 for £5 offer...?

It’s not, I was just highlighting that if you just wanted to buy a spade you could, for £2. My local wasn’t doing the two for £5, if yours isn’t this might suit you. You could go wild and buy 2 spades for £4
Do you get 2 for £2 as it's Poundland?
