If any cold voters can say why, that would be great as I'm thinking of getting this

I don't think the price is bad, but I think it is pretty average.

Downsides as I see them, the resistance is manual rather than electronic and it has no heart rate monitor. If it's not taking heart rate into account, it probably not giving even less accurate feedback about calories burnt than usual etc. I have one where the resistance is electronically set, it gives you different patterns of resistance to use for different work outs. I probably would have given up by now if I had to work out workouts by myself and stop to change the resistance at different intervals.

I realise those things make a cross trainer more expensive than this one. I bought mine second hand on ebay for a lot less than this. It was in very good condition, I think people get bored with them and sell them pretty quickly so there are many bargains to be had.

I bought a decent 2 in 1 of these ~(better than this one) and sold it because it did neither very well. THe footpads are not very good for cycling and the eliptical part isn't a patch on the one's in gyms, you don't really stretch whilst doing it, you're cycling whist standing up.

I'd get one or the other, and if you're getting an eliptical spend some decent money.

It will fall apart within 6 months! Trust me I had similar.
