For some reason, when I saw this the expression "Is it a bird - is it a plane" popped into my mind (maybe early menopause or having kids ) however it's neither but it is a 2 in 1 Kid's Bike Trailer & Stroller that will take up to 2 children depending on weight

I genuinely never knew these existed until I saw this one, I knew you could buy trailers to pull the kids along behind you, but didn't realise they made a combo trailer / stroller - really versatile & would be ideal for camping trips or days out

I wouldn't ride with them on the road, probably around a park just for fun, I don't think it's a good Idea riding with them on road.

I had both of my kids in one of these when they were younger.
Not as dangerous as many think. What looks dangerous isn't necessarily the case.

Agreed, putting your own life on the line by riding a bike on the roads is up to you. Putting your children in this flimsy contraption, no way. Why do they insist on crashworthiness in cars, yet allow these things on a road, is beyond me.

By the way I'm not deomitivating people to buy it, I'm contemplating on buying it for parks and safer environments at the moment.
News headline "HUKD member arrested for travelling the wrong way up the M6 on a bike, with his wife and child in tow in their makeshift mini caravan"
Lethal!
To all people bemoaning the supposed lack of safety of this item, perhaps it should be balanced against barreling down the motorway at 80mph with your kids strapped in the back. Not much safety when you have an accident at that speed either.

No - just as the yang it is trying to counter it is also silly.

Nice post btw OP.
Got one of these a couple of years ago at Aldi for £35 when they hadn't shifted them at full price. It's good quality and folds down for taking in the car boot. Never used it as a buggy though.

Makes no sense whatsoever!!!
Ive got one similar to this and i love taking the kids round the town on it. Gives me a chance yo get out on the Bike. Only really go on the road if i absolutely have to... very fun for the kids and like any piece of kit its only as dangerous as the person responsible for using it. Take your time and enjoy it. Agreed, comparing a car that is designed to have crumple zones, safety aids and being driven in places where statistically the likelihood of having having a fatality is at its lowest does indeed make make very little sense.

So when was the last time you heard of an accident with one of these in the post? Because I've never heard of one ever and if they where so 'dangerous' they would not be on sale!!!

That's why you don't drive like a idiot around them
The Health and Safety Police have arrived. Just use your common sense and you'll be fine, or you'll just end up living a restricted, boring life. Of course you wouldn't take these on the road; I wouldn't bother riding a bike on the road these days after seeing so many rubbish drivers. Have some fun, stick to the park and I'm sure the kids will love it! Have a good day peoples!
I've got one similar to this and the kids love it. I use it on the back of the bike (on roads and off roads), but I also use it in the 3 wheel mode when going for a walk/run. Great bit of kit, and is used regularly.

It is a good deal and I voted it hot.

Whilst there is the pro's and con's (yin and yang) my inference that you had commented on, whilst silly, was that HotuKD was subjectively questioning their own driving and whilst I liked your comment tbh it was stating the rather obvious.

Comparing to a car at all, let alone driving at 80 and where you can do that has very little relevance to this product and is also a silly comment whilst you wish to call out others being silly - please explain who is contradicting themselves?

Somehow, rather than acknowledge you can also be silly you have then fabricated what my own view is (as observant as you think you are you missed I gave heads up to the OP) - someone not being silly may have learnt the way to find others view points is not to make them up but to ascertain. Perhaps you are right as in one of us is showing their age!!!

I don't see how this is any more dangerous than letting a 16 year old go out and ride their own bike....
