I think the Irn Bru marketing department beat him to it!

True, their advertisng campaigns tend to be a bit rough but it is classic self depreciating Glasgow humour. :whistling:

Not bad. My local Matin McColl's are doing these for 89p each or two for £1.39.

Yeah, this isnt a hot deal im afraid. Its been this price for a few years at Farmfoods, Sainsburys are also doing 2 for £2 the now.

Best Irn Bru advert I saw was.

"I had an Irn-Bru in '66, but I dont go on about it!"

Original Poster

Its a hot deal if you dont live near an sainsburys or farmfoods, as I dont !

2 What? 2 litre bottles? post is not clear enough.

Can normally found at this price or cheaper at lidl, 89p at poundstretcher to.

Self depreciating?

Self depreciating?

Yes, it is generally agreed that a lot of Glasgow ( and probably other places such as Liverpool) humour looks inward to our traits and nuances and exposes them for ridicule.

Or is this another classic example of a HUKD member having a go at a misplaced vowel? If it is, get a life!

LOL

Yes, I can see you have the self DEPRECATION gene in abundance.

These are normally cheaper than this anyway at £1 you may aswell buy coke when it's on offer, or pepsi when it's around the 70p mark.

love the stuff so hot from me.

but 97p from netto for a 2litre bottle.

Glad to see you are a mission to eradicate poor spelling. You must make your parents proud. It is a real shame that HUKD is becoming a home to your ilk. Nothing positive to contribute and ever quick to criticise. Good luck with that attitude!

My parents are dead and I have been a member on here longer than you, so it was my "home" before it was yours.

Using a completely different word is hardly a spelling mistake, is it? But I was a bit of a pedant and I apologise to everyone for that. Now where is that lovely self deprecating humour that we hear of?

In future I shall contain my pedantry solely to people using the word "brought" instead of "bought".

Not my home. Never claimed it to be. And i added an "i". Hardly criminal. But no hard feelings. It is easy to take things a bit serious. Personally I am just fed up (and have been for a while) with all the bile and attitude on here. It is possible that I have wrongly tainted you (not going to be a saddo and check your previous posts)

The 2 for £1.39 deal someone else mentioned won't be for the 2 litre bottles I wouldn't imagine, that's usually a deal places like Wilkinson and newsagents do on the small 500ml bottles.

Whilst 2 for £2.00 ain't bad, like others have said, if you're a lover of Irn Bru like me (sad I know! lol) then there are a couple of other places where you can get it cheap. I always buy mine from scummy Iceland round the corner where a 2 litre bottle of Irn Bru/Diet Irn Bru only cost £1.00
