2 litres of filtered semi skimmed milk £1.29 at Aldi - this is like cravendale and has about 3/4 weeks life.

Aldi have just started selling their equivalent of Cravendale (Puriti) at £1.29 for 2 litres. This is nearly as cheap as the Tesco 2 for £2.50 deal and means that I won't have to make a special trip to tesco to buy my milk in the future.

I bought some and it had 3 and half weeks shelf life.

thanks

Morrisons are still doing their 2 for £2.50 for the 2 litre Cravendale Milk.

3 and a half weeks is the same as the Cravendale I got at Tesco yesterday.
Seeing as you only have to pay 4p more for 1 of these it's a good deal

Thanks, that's what I thought especially as I normally pop in to a normal supermarket just to get cravendale and end up picking up other items that I don't really need!

Puriti is made by Robert Wiseman Dairies , better than Cravendale by miles

Nice, got an Aldi just down the road from me and i'll be picking some of these up.

Not got an Aldi near us :-(
Only Lidl :-( :-(

Tesco Pure is what we normally get... 2x2l for £2 at our local large store (Batley)
Although this week we got 3l "Tesco taking on Aldi style branded" milk for £1 each... Lots of Milkshake!!! :-D

Who wants milk that lasts 3 weeks? Thats wrong!

try it, filtered milk is fresher tasting AND longer lasting, can't go wrong with this deal

Is that 3 to 4 weeks or three quarters of a week (headline)?

Good deal but I went off Aldi today - discovered they've stopped doing their sandwiches, which were good and only 99p!

Milk with the goodness (been there for 10000s of years!) taken out ain't milk. And it's not "fresh" either IMO.

It has some milk in it but it ain't milk. Shouldn't be allowed to call it that just like spreads aren't allowed to call themselves 'butter' unless they pay an advertising agency to come up with I Can't Believe It's Not Butter!®. I can cos it tastes like vegetable oil, salt and lots of water.

Marketing and expensive too for the consumer cos the good bit taken out is sold and put in the best ice-creams and puddings. You're paying more for less :?

It is environmentally friendly, saves dolphins and electricty (if you use one of those dumb energy saver sockets which err... use energy to work) apparently.

Marketing.

£1 for 2 litres of milk in poundland : ) I do a weekly visit for the office tea fund

None in my Aldi.

Milk is one of those things.. if it's too cheap, well you know it has consequences. ..

Think about paying a bit extra to support local producers!
