Damn right it is,text speak and slang prove it.
But I personally don't mind the 'Grammar Police' putting in an appearance, reminds me it came from somewhere, and that 26 letters and a few extra symbols and rules can keep us occupied for hours.

Hot bread = toast.

What gets me the most is the amount of people on here who say "I brought some bread" rather than "I bought some bread" they are two totally different words goddamnit.

Totally with you on that on, I'm astonished how many people (adults, too!) say brought when they mean bought. There's no excuse for it!

nice on rofl

I tell you what, the grammar on hotUkDeals isn't anywhere near as bad as most Ebay users.

I once saw an advert for a ticket on Ebay that was advertised as a BOGOF and the seller stated that one person pays full price and their guessed gets in for free rofl rofl rofl

sigh.... they *took* it home. Besides you know what I meant.

Now I am confused, I always thought that in Scots wife just meant woman, … Now I am confused, I always thought that in Scots wife just meant woman, regardless of her marital status? :?

In the genteel world of Robert Robertson and "Call My Bluff",yes,Wifey does mean woman.

As a sign of the fluidity of language though consider the following explanations of the word from young people that use it.

"A REAL Lady, Not your only but your favourite, different from them hood rat chicks. Sexy in everyway possible, when she smiles it's sexy, even when she's mad at you it's sexy."
"Commonly used with girls to say how much their friends mean to them. Used instead of best friend or besty."
"a girl you care a lot about, she's more than just your girl."
"term used by boys and girls regardless, to distinguish a girl you love to death"
"WIFEY (why-fee) n - A female entitled to call his phone any time of the day or night, make herself at home at his home, occupy his free time, keep him out of trouble, defend him at all times even when he's not around! (and vice versa), make sure he's happy (because he does the same for her), have all of his attention."
"this means yo main girl you can have a lot of girls but yo wifey you gon treat her better then anybody she down for whatever she all ways gon be there for you"

Great deal
