ive just wasted 12 seconds of my life reading this unadulterated dribble

And two minutes more writing a nasty reply.... well done you. Maybe just scroll on next time
Don't care what anyone says, for the price the quality is really good. People who moan are idiots, of course if you pay more you can get better food. Never had a problem at a Weatherspons, amazing for £20. HEAT from me.

Pretty good value if you have £20 spare and would like your wife to pack her bags and leave. If it works really well, she might even up and leave before the food comes, leaving you with an extra meal.

Is that not a normal price for their frozen ready meals??

Coming from the man who’s hasn’t posted a ‘deal’ in 8 years

Best you could do? I guess you were pretty busy in the last two years as well?

Haven't bought food from a 'spoons for ages - last time I went it was pretty awful, just reheated slop. Maybe things have improved since then. Wouldn't go there for Valentine's though!!

Exactly - my GF happens to enjoy spoons food. She isn't a snobby bugger like my father who refuses to eat anywhere other than some fancy pants restaurant. Can't stand it.

Have some heat OP.
It's not bad food, but for the price just get one of the supermarket meal deals? I'd have thought wetherspoons they'd do special one off meals, but this is all just off their standard menu. Usually on grill night you'll pay £8-9 for a grill and a drink, so the dessert is a quid extra whereas usually it's only 2 quid. Not a huge saving?

Lol not bad. I can imagine my local though, drunk people falling all over you while you eat your food and drink your prosecco.
Our local one is really nice. Decent breakfasts and it's a bargain in the evening as the meals come with a drink. Apart from slow bar service I really couldn't complain.
I find most of the people who slate Wetherspoons have either never been in one or prefer to pay double the price for their drinks just to say "I would never drink in Wetherspoons" if you like decent Ale it can't be beaten for the price, there plenty of nice ones around.

Went to two different Spoons in Nottingham on a work trip. One was rather nice and the other was like Dawn of the Dead

I used to go to the one in Jamaica Street (Glasgow) quite often, for the Curry Nights (Thursday if I remember right) and I'd tend to order Chilli Con Carne on non-themed days. They do great coffee, and Mojito cocktails (the brief time that they sold them) but I felt the quality of the food was going downhill, not getting better - this is a few years' patronage meeting up with friends/family. Haven't been in for a few years.

Spoons is good for what it is. I wouldn't take a date here although it's a step up from going to McDonald's with a money off voucher. I don't think you can go wrong with cooking a decent meal at home if you can cook.

I find their food is dependent on the actual pub or chef at the time. I have had really nice meals and ones that are pretty awful. However, still edible

Great value for £20

Wow great find op thanks
I took my (now) wife to this deal 4 years ago. She hates valentines commercialism/expense and so was very pleased with this price for a meal out . Also the whole place was empty compared to 'romantic venues on Feb 14th!
Surely its not about the cost but its 'the thought that counts?'.

I bet most ladies are just happy to get something on Valentine's day! For people looking for a Valentine's meal on a lower budget this is perfect so its hot from me.
They would need to pay me £20 to eat there, even then I’d have 2nd thoughts, let alone treat my misses!

Down load the app and order from your table, much quicker and less annoying.

At least your reading speed is getting better from all this practice! Honestly mate you sound like you need to get laid... it’s much more fun than being obnoxious on an Internet forum

Can people stop saying Weatherspoons quality is good.. seriously you guys …Can people stop saying Weatherspoons quality is good.. seriously you guys need to eat out at better places if you think spoons is quality, walked in one last month and it seems like the local market cafe that shut down had sent over its clientele between the guy trying to eat everything on the menu in one sitting and the bunch of old ladies stinking of fags, and the pre 12 o clock pwiss heads I remembered why we didn't go to Weatherspoons anymore and then left. the fact there is no music only emphasises the depression that it emits.Id rather spend £10.00 more (which isn't a lot in the grander scheme) and have enviroment and good food.

You walked in one a month ago, thank you for your expertise on the matter. I simply cannot trust the opinion of someone who actually prefers music in pubs.

Happy days I like Wetherspoons food it's a lot better then a lot of the other chain pubs, as is there drink prices are as well.

The most stupid comment I have ever heard, you cannot trust the opinion of …The most stupid comment I have ever heard, you cannot trust the opinion of someone who likes music in pubs? so music in cafes would be OK? Hairdressers music? what about in Asda?People actually go to pubs for live music and entertainment... but you keep going for your cheap beer and mingle with the local council estate.

Lots of windmilling on display here, straw man arguments a plenty. And let's not forget the snobbery, it's not even thinly veiled.

Oh wow you're so sophisticated.

It's always the plebs that turn their nose up at places like Wetherspoons. In my experience, the wealthy have no reason to make themselves feel superior and are quite happy having a meal or drink out there (some decent and reliable food that is not going to be matched anywhere else at the price).

It's always the "posh poor" - the poor people that want to feel posh - that have a problem with it. Probably the same people on benefits who vote for the Tories, thinking it makes them one of them.
