Same here with a HDMI cable from marketplace. My link was removed too. Just search for the lead on amazon.co.uk (Electronic sections). Amazon Marketplace beat even Fleabay HongKong sellers with cable prices.

Remember DVI is a video signal only interface, so your sound signals would need to travel by another cable - eg 3.5mm stereo and/or RCA phono style cable.

Not strictly true, although DVI was designed for video only, it's possible to send audio over DVI. Both Nvidia & ATI support this.

For integrated graphics it all 'just happens' on the motherboard.

In the case of a dedicated graphics card, you have a digital audio cable that runs from the motherboard (or dedicated sound card) to the graphics card. The graphics card then integrates this into the DVI signal broadcast to your tv[s]/monitor[s].

Obviously it requires a supporting motherboard/sound card as well as supporting gpu.
The cable itself should be supplied with the graphics card.

I bought this one a while back from a similar offer on the forums.

This did not work with my PS3 as I don't thinks it supports HDCP, works fine on the xbox 360 though as its not HDCP device.

I maybe wrong, but I couldn't get it to work.

Good price, although you can get cables at this price all the time on ebay. Not voted either hot or cold here

am I right does this go from pc/laptop to tv THANKS :?

Will this be better than the coax cable i have my amiga connected to my 14" with?

would i be able to connect this from my ps3 to my monitor?

They are cheaper than this on ebay. Mine cost £2.19 delivered ( buy-it-now) and came next day.

Does this cable support audio over hdmi?
