I was looking for a good sign up offer for Spotify when I stumbled across this deal. I had to create a new PS4 login (with a seperate email than I had previously used for Spotify).

To sign up you need to log into your PSN account via the spotify site (click the link in green button that you see in the picture), it will then redirect you to playstation website to inputting payment details etc.

Cold, only works if you have never had premium.

Don't they also give you a £8.99 monthly membership for the lifetime of your PS Plus subscription?

Well it’s not called a “sign up” offer for no reason

Maybe you should put that in title then...

just sign up for a new account I’ve done it several times before, obviously if you want to keep your existing account it won’t work
Once you're signed up for premium upgrade to the family account for £5, order your free Google home mini, and then downgrade again

EDIT: This doesn't work, same issue as Vodafone accounts

Spotify also didn’t mention that in their title, even they didn’t anticipate Liverpool fans paying money for music

NOBODY DO THIS.

I just subscribed to this for £1.99 but there's no way to upgrade to the family plan. PlayStation can't do it, and Spotify can't either because PlayStation manage the account.

Had to get my £1.99 refunded, but it goes into your wallet rather than bank account (I'm new to PlayStation so didn't know, but everyone else may be aware).

So unfortunately, nice idea but doesn't work and has been a bit of a faff!

Ooooh well, thanks for being the test pilot and trying it out, not the best result but hey ho

I couldn't try it as I'm currently on a family account due to the Google mini deal, not even sure what I'll do with a 4th one but at £15 it's a steal.

I was considering waiting for someone else to be the guinea pig - I should have!

It was a nice idea, shame it didn't work.

I was considering the other deal before but didn't go for it (I might still) but saw your idea and thought at that price it would be rude not to!

I have an Echo Dot and never use it though, so I'm not sure it's worth it. I do have Google Play Music and I wish the Echo had integration into that, I guess that's potentially a reason to buy, but I normally just do it through my phone and link to a Bluetooth speaker.

Not really a fan of having them listening all the time though, so tend to keep my Echo off and only ever turn it on to ask for free samples
I went for it and at £1.99 for 2 months of music I can’t complain, I already have a mini and dots and the bigger amazon one so not to fused about a free one to collect dust. Thanks OP great for me

Might be worth it as a direct replacement for the dot if you want to use Google music. I think it's good to have a couple of them so you can group them together and play music throughout your house, also good for controlling your TV, lights and thermostat if you've got the kit.
I already have premium but when I look to upgrade to family it says it will charge £15 not the £5 difference.
Anyone done the upgrade route?

Or do I wan it until this month has run out and upgrade

In the T&C's for this offer, it states
"£9.99 per month afterwards. Open only to users who haven't already tried Premium."

So I guess it's a choice of choose your offer. Some quick sums show that going for this £1.99 offer and then £9.99 works out cheaper up until the 18th month, then it would have been cheaper to do £8.99 a month. After two years, the £8.99 option would have worked out a massive £6 cheaper.

Good effort but I’m in it for 1.99 for two months and then I’ll see what’s about after that time! I love Spotify because yes you have to use a new account but you can just follow your old accounts playlists and download so no need to spend ages creating new ones
This deal works well - My top tips are make a throw-away email and PSN Account then after purchasing, remove your payment details from sony's hub.
Hi. I still have some slots in my Spotify Premium family plan for sell.
Please PM me if interested?
