Just been looking at a few short breaks for the summer and saw this. The Priest House hotel in Derbyshire 4 star hotel stay for 2 nights in an executive double room with late checkout (12 noon) which is usually an extra £20, full english breakfast each day, free wifi and if you dine at the hotel you get a free bottle of house wine when you buy a 3 course meal.

Its a 40 minute drive to the Peak district and the hotel's Norman mill tower dates back to the 11th century - looks amazing. Its on the banks of the River Trent and the bar and terrace overlooks it.

The stays are valid between the 1st July and 30th September so you can avoid school holidays or go in the school holidays whatever suits you best and the rates are valid for all the days of the week with no surcharge for weekends like a lot of places do. You can have an extra bed in the room for a child aged 12 and under for an extra £15 per night.

Very near to Donington race circuit too if you wanted to fit in a track day while you're there.

£115 for 2 nights so £28.75 per person per night! If you don't want to go for 2 nights, you can stay for 1 for £75 with a late checkout and breakfast but that rate is only valid for Monday - Saturday

Why are these Travelzoo deals always so shy of saying where the hotel actually is and instead focussing on how long it takes to drive to somewhere more scenic?

If you want to vist the Peak District, then book a hotel that's in the Peak District, not one that advertises itself as being 45 minutes' drive from the Peak District!

It's stupid, but this thing of quoting the price £pppn does my nut in. It costs £115. I can't buy it for any less than that so please don't insult my intelligence by dividing it by four for no good reason.

It's also just an average hotel on the outskirts of Derby. All of these deals are average hotels on the outskirts of somewhere nobody wants to go.
