Set in 37 acres of wood and parkland, Crutherland House is just south of Glasgow's city centre, and 35-45 minutes from Edinburgh. It's a great base for exploring nearby attractions like Stirling Castle, Falkirk Wheel, Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, all of which can be reached within 45 minutes. It's also an ideal base for visiting the January sales in both Glasgow and East Kilbride shopping centre, which boasts over 200 shops. The hotel features a spa, a fully equipped gym and an 18m indoor swimming pool with a sauna, a steam room and a fitness suite.

Blackout dates: 20 February; 3 March; 23-24 April.

Haven't stayed here myself but it does get fairly decent reviews on Tripadvisor

The "ideal base for visiting the January sales" must mean that it's close by the East Kilbride time travel centre.

:-D:-D

Most of EK looks like it's gone back in anyway

the crutherland is lovely, really peaceful and nice pool etc etc. It's a good 5-10 mins drive to the town centre but it's really more like a country hotel, rather than somewhere to visit the shops. Good for the country park next door though...

thanx. booked for easter break.
